My brain only unlocks Hyperfocus Mode if a task is either:
1. A self-imposed, unnecessary side quest started at 2 AM.
2. A life-changing emergency.
3. Due in 4 hours.
Anything else is permanently filed under "We'll think about it later" Paralysis.
ADHD, specifically the H (Hyperactive) part, doesn’t necessarily refer to physical hyperactivity — it can also mean thinking VERY hard ALL the time, like your brain never shuts up, even if you externally appear sedate.
Me figuring this out:
People call autism a ‘superpower’ when I actually think it would be a superpower to be able to know I am hungry, to recognise facial expressions, to know when it is my turn to speak in a conversation, and to not have meltdowns every time my routine changes a tiny little bit.
