Deeply saddened and shocked by the tragic incident in which Shri Mahesh Shelke, Manager (Retail Sales), IndianOil, lost his life in Maharashtra while discharging his official duties. He was a part of a team carrying out the takeover of an IndianOil retail outlet in Hingoli district when he was brutally attacked with a sharp weapon. I strongly condemn this heinous and unacceptable act of violence.

I offer my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family in their hour of unimaginable grief and shock.
@PetroleumMin and @IndianOilcl firmly stand with them and will extend all possible support.

The issue has been taken up with the senior-most officials of the Maharashtra Government and Police to ensure swift and strict action against those responsible, in accordance with law.
The safety, dignity and security of our energy-sector personnel, who work tirelessly to serve the nation, remain paramount.

May the departed soul rest in peace.

आज ड्यूटी पर तैनात एक युवा एवं उत्कृष्ट Retail Sales Officer की हत्या की खबर बेहद पीड़ादायक है। उनके पीछे 6 वर्ष और 2 वर्ष की उम्र के दो मासूम बच्चे तथा एक पूरा परिवार है, जिनकी पूरी दुनिया इस दुखद घटना से बिखर गई है।

यह घटना केवल शोक व्यक्त करने तक सीमित नहीं रहनी चाहिए। दोषियों के विरुद्ध त्वरित एवं कठोर कानूनी कार्रवाई, पीड़ित परिवार को हर संभव सहायता एवं उचित संरक्षण, तथा कार्यप्रणाली और सुरक्षा व्यवस्था में ठोस एवं प्रभावी सुधार आवश्यक है, ताकि भविष्य में किसी अन्य अधिकारी को अपनी ड्यूटी के दौरान अपनी जान न गंवानी पड़े।

शोकाकुल परिवार के प्रति हमारी गहरी संवेदना। ईश्वर दिवंगत आत्मा को शांति एवं परिवार को इस अपार दुःख को सहने की शक्ति प्रदान करें।🙏🙏😭
