I mean when does it stop? It seems every week friends and colleagues of mine are dying. Barry and the great John Saunders and Tom Mees each worked together and as a result we had to be close as well. I’m feeling for @espnSteveLevy too as I know he’s in tears tonight. It truly is the curse of a long and hopefully healthy life. We have to deal with the loss of so many we grew up alongside. Prayers to Barry’s family. Rest easy my man. 🙏🙏

Barry Melrose legitimately kept the lights on for hockey in America as it fiercely had to fight for relevance. He made you want to watch his segments even if you cared nothing for the sport. One of the friendliest guys in the ESPN hallways, no matter what time of night.
