It’s been a year since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. Since then, 14 states have banned most abortions, leaving millions of women and girls with nowhere to turn for the care they need.
And yet, there are reasons to hope.
After Roe v. Wade was overturned, voters in Michigan, California, and Vermont helped enshrine abortion rights in their state constitutions. And governors in states like Nevada, Hawaii, and Pennsylvania have signed executive orders to protect abortion access.
"Equal justice under the law must mean that every American receives equal treatment in every encounter with law enforcement, regardless of race, color, gender, or creed."
My parents used to live in Texas and had a neighbor who was a cop and one time he threatened my mother and pointed out “your husband isn’t home very often is he?”
This makes me so fucking mad I’m literally in tears that the police just kept walking and didn’t even show remorse for what the fuck they had done. No not all cops are like this but there shouldn’t be any that are allowed to wear that uniform an act this way.
IF ARABS ARE HOLDING THESE RIFFLES, THEY ARE TERRORISTS.
IF LATINOS ARE HOLDING THESE RIFFLES, THEY ARE CRIMINALS .
IF BLACKS ARE HOLDING THESE RIFFLES, THEY ARE A THREAT.
