@hankgreen It does feel a little “end of the world as we know it” sometimes
I try to remember that there are few things that can truly bring the extinction of joy and the human capacity to make bad situations better is very enduring, but still,
@budgietail Honestly it’s mostly a matter of practicing individual textures and techniques for things like clouds or stone that you can then paint with on large scales. It’s really pretty simple to draw like this as long as you have an eye for color and composition
I did most of this back in November, but left it for a while. Thought I'd finish it- though I did have to compromise on the intended compositional symmetry on the right half. Those trees and leaves in the water were a little annoying to draw
@hankgreen And some people will recognize that strict binaries aren’t really a thing in other animals but then say it does in humans because we’re somehow different or more and like. We can be unique while still being part of something bigger and I don’t get why that’s bad
@hankgreen I think it’s really cool and interesting that human gender is so much more complicated than a simple binary. I don’t get the people who look at the staggering beauty of evolution and nature and think “wouldn’t that be better with fewer options”
@lori_dubbs@GovAndyBeshear Dual credit can just be too expensive for some families. I think this free retake would be useful for those who didn’t have access to those classes but still want higher education
