#NowWatching Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010) w/ into from Edgar Wright!

[OnlyNiceThings @_OnlyNiceThings]

@TheLybrarian I thought it was really cool in concept with the visuals and planning of it all but I actually got lost a lot and wound up sitting in sections of the musical number for too long that it lost its charm 😅 probably more a critique on my gaming skills.

@PINNLAND_EMPIRE Yeah the setup was all there! But alas it wasn't meant to be.

At least he brought a "blade" 🙃

I was watching Scott Pilgrim vs The World the night I found out Brad Allan, the stunt coordinator passed away. The movie is more known for it's geeky references, @edgarwright's direction, and inventive visual effects but all the fanciful fighting is what caught my attention.

The film gives a glimpse of what Mahershala Ali could have done with the character Blade but the fight scenes are very very scaled down despite the large build up of an ultimate showdown. He seems capable but the action is secondary to a strong story about faith and fatherhood.
