The Tilly Edinger Award is aimed at young researchers (up to 5 years post-doctoral) and is awarded for outstanding research achievements within paleontology and related disciplines with a paleontological focus. Apply by July 31st!

The Fossil of the Year 2023 is Medullosa stellata. Strictly speaking, they are two fossils, but they belong to one and the same organism: the fossil plant Medullosa stellata with attached fronds of Alethopteris schneideri. It thrived in Early Permian tropical forests.
