When a user was hounding me for not wanting to me called a slur (allegedly this is policing language), and I look up, and they aren’t even part of the group. “You can’t speak on it” hun neither can you by your logic 😭
Talking bout some “stop policing transfems language” because apparently that’s what it is when we say calling people slurs is bad, I look at their bio “theymab tme on trt” mfing white knight lmao
@itisacasio If you are actively affected by use of a slur you can have a say on it, historically it’s been used against all trans people. Now I don’t know why you’re talking when your bio says “theymab tme on trt”.
@itisacasio they were not. There is a difference between “context clues” and you trying to defend the use of slurs by any kind of character assassination possible. It’s been used against all trans people. “Oh it’s transmisogynistic” ok this doesn’t change that all trans people get called it
@itisacasio and I’m gonna say this yet again in hopes to hammer it through your thick ass skull, tranny is not exclusively used to refer to transfems and trans women. It is not. In fact never even saw anyone try to say it was. Also aren’t you on testosterone??
@itisacasio Transmisogyny is the mixture of transphobia and misogyny usually directed at trans women and trans feminine people. while I may not be a black and white trans woman, people sure do think I am, and yes that leads to transmisogyny.
@itisacasio You keep purposefully ignoring that transphobes aren’t very picky on what slurs to call trans people. Tranny is pretty gender neutral in most uses but you don’t leave your echo chamber so how would you know that
@itisacasio MAYBE if you stopped throwing oppression pity parties for yourself and got off twitter once in a while, you’d notice how slurs act affect people, and it’s not policing to say it’s bad to call people them when they don’t want to be called slurs
@itisacasio I get called tranny on the daily and I owe you no specification of my identity. I can speak on it and other trans people can speak on it. why are you so mad that people are saying “please don’t call other people derogatory slurs”??
@itisacasio You DO want to say slurs and you want to defend slurs. Meanwhile I get called a tranny regularly when I’m just trying to live my life and I’d appreciate it if my own community didn’t add onto that
@itisacasio What I want you to understand is that calling a group of people a slur is bad, and anyone affected by that slur can speak on it. If saying “please don’t call me a slur it’s not good” is policing how you talk, then yeah sure we’re policing how you talk
@itisacasio None of your business, I don’t like to specify my identity on twitter of all places. social media in general. Yknow what I think? That person while being transmasc can still have an opinion on it because transmasc people regularly get called tranny too
