The biggest piece of cognitive dissonance I don't get with MAGAs is that they say they don't want to listen to celebrities and billionaires because they don't know what we want/need... and yet are shelling out thousands supporting the biggest celebrity "billionaire" out there.

They'll buy $300 Trump sneakers or a $100 Trump bible or a $100,000 Trump watch or spend 50% more at a Trump hotel. They'll fall for each and every one of his grifts and not see it yet complain about how a Harris presidency will ruin them because she'll want to raise their taxes.

So if you are actually comparing apples to apples, it's more like 35 appearances for Trump and 30 for Harris during the same time period, with the additional ~25 for Trump happening before Harris was the nominee or before the DNC was held. That's pretty damn close to even.

People keep throwing around this chart of Trump vs Harris media appearances since they were chosen as their party's nominee.

Two problems with that.

1) Trump was nominated almost a month earlier than Harris
2) Trump was the presumptive nominee long before Harris replaced Biden

Additionally, 5-10 more appearances happened between the nomination and the DNC itself - and if you consider the DNC the beginning of the nominees' post-nomination media tours, it's even closer. Trump started about a week after the RNC, Harris started about a week after the DNC.

For someone who doesn't know anything about Project 2025 and isn't associated with it at all, Trump is parroting its bullet points pretty consistently.

He might not know the specifics of what's in the manifesto but it's definitely just a rewrite of his plans.

Because honestly, by your design, anyone who voted in the primary should either vote for the candidate they originally voted for or not vote.

So you should kiss the Haley, Ramaswamy, DeSantis, etc. voters goodbye if that's the case. They shouldn't vote for Trump.

Lots of people voted in the primary for him, and if he drops out and endorses Trump, what are his supporters supposed to do? If he's still on the ballot, should they still vote for him?
