GXO this morning posted 'Picket Liaisons' in an attempt to disrupt our picket lines. Instead of funding their salaries, GXO should be funding an improved offer for members.

GXO have spent months dithering. They waited until 3pm Friday to present an 'improved' offer expecting us to suspend strike action.

They have threatened to use scab labour to break this week's strike also. But members will not be bullied into accepting less than their worth.

GMB has been at the forefront of the conversation in Scotland on the importance of securing domestic manufacturing and the role of government in doing so. A race to the bottom and privatisation is now an outdated economic model. Ferguson's must remain in public ownership.

The direct award of 4 ferries to Ferguson Marine has been the result of over 4 years of hard work to clear the name of a blameless workforce against a rabid rightwing press and political maneuvering that cared more about closing a Clyde shipyard than it did about protecting jobs.

GMB Convener, Alex Logan, has been an incredible advocate for the workforce and Port Glasgow. The entire workforce have kept working with their heads up aiming to protect local opportunities for local young people and apprentices, and for shipbuilding to continue on the Clyde.

Council workers in Aberdeen will see their pay frozen - likely for years - until pay rises overtake their current wages. The lowest paid would lose out on £1,500.

Council Leaders must take bullying fire and re-hire tactics off the table now.

I have now spoken with Glasgow life and they have confirmed that the fence and gates being locked have been in response to an increase in anti social behaviour around the pool and I believe more recently a car has been burnt out in the grounds/car park. 1/2

This policy also reeks of hypocrisy given photos of Swinney having a pint at the Euros. It would be worth knowing if the FM had more alcohol at the game or if he led by example.

Or is it one rule for football and the working class fans who go, and another for everyone else?
