Alliance High School has been closed indefinitely after a fire broke out in a dormitory mattress store early Thursday, prompting the administration to send students home as a precautionary measure.
Principal David Chomba said no student was harmed and that the blaze, which began at around 4 a.m., was contained before it could spread to other buildings within the school compound.
"No student was harmed, and students are continuing with their normal learning activities," said Chomba.

Today officers from the Ministry were walking around the schools. So one of them came and started advising me on how I should prepare the students for the national examination. Mimi Nikajifanya I am taking the advice. He was not aware I am an examiner in that area.
Lesson is that, don't try to outshine your master.
Play low and you will avoid chaos.

I have said many times that President Ruto and the teleprompter are not good friends.
To the uninitiated, a teleprompter is a device that displays a speech or script for a speaker to read while appearing to maintain eye contact with the audience. It is the system the President often uses during national events, such as today's Madaraka Day address.
His communication handlers may fear telling him openly, but every time the President addresses the nation via a teleprompter, I get the feeling of a man speaking to trees deep in a forest. The speech sounds unnatural, passionless, and disconnected from the audience. His delivery style is clearly not suited to the teleprompter.
When he speaks extemporaneously or engages directly with people, his communication is often far more animated and effective. But once he is tied to the scrolling text, something seems to get lost between the words and the audience.

It's simple. He will fund the building of the classrooms but will eventually take some of their land for UNaffordable housing. Ask wale wa Alliance High school.
@WilliamsRuto has NEVER been truthfully kind. For him it's a give and take. Always a give and take for this murderer.
President William Ruto has pledged to construct 30 new classrooms to decongest Njiiri School in Murang'a County which currently has 2,100 students.
The president said he will personally pay for the construction of the classrooms and the six laboratories following a plea by the school’s principal, Stephen Gathii.
