So I guess March 19, 2023 is my last day here. I value my security here more than I care to be extorted by the sociopathic owner and incompetent “chief engineer” of Twitter.
Who scales back security measures on a social media platform? Only a #sociopath like Musk.
@cbouzy
@FROzenLiberal The company, I mean Elon, is definitely taking the calculated risk that a significant proportion of people will do nothing and/or leave the platform with their accounts even more hackable. Those who refuse to pay. It’s derelict, but that’s how the sociopath rolls.
This is the thing that will finally push me off Twitter after 13 years. If presented as the entire platform is moving to drop SMS 2FA, then fine. But Musk now conditioning account security based on subscription is disgusting platform leadership. If he’ll do this, what’s next?
Did anyone else get the notification that Twitter Blue subscribers are the only users who can have two-step authentication now?
Hmmm... it's as if Twitter wants safe and secure access to be a privilege. I may go silent on here for a while.
@CJane0123@BenjaminConant3 I suspect their personalities fall easily into one of the upper two quadrants, and that they sleep easily because of that. 😞
@BrillDarren@MeidasTouch@FoxNews The gullibility is as palpable as the paranoia (and lack of understanding of election processes and security) with this one. ☝️
Worth listening to. And yes, @FoxNews, and Rupert Murdoch, his producers, executives and hosts, are vile liars who have willfully fleeced millions of viewers. They need to regulated into oblivion. #RegulateCableNews
🚨 Here it is: the full legal filing by Dominion Voting Systems exposing the corruption of Fox News. We go through nearly every shocking text and email from Fox News executives and hosts. These are the #FoxFiles and everyone needs to know about them. https://t.co/PXA8F2n1aw
So, you'll enjoy this: we put what Fox hosts Carlson, Hannity, and Ingraham said, on air, side by side with what they were saying to each other on text, in private, when the cameras stopped rolling.
It's a must-watch and it's pretty shocking:
This. Give to a local food bank or shelter. Double it if you can afford it. Any social media platform owner who would play so fast and loose with any account’s security cannot be trusted. #DumpMusk
@PodSaveAmerica @kathyinbluebell It’s almost breathtaking how easily they can lie for the paycheck. Maria Bartiromo has zero moral compass, just like the prime time crew.
I'd bet a lot of money that if you have Elong Musket blocked that the algorithm is set to show your tweets less often.
Putting two factor authentication behind an $8 paywall is the height of bad business decisions. He's out to destroy twitter.
#TwoFactorAuthentication
Nothing hurts the brain like quite like trying to make sense of a meeting of the Michigan GOP.
Oh, and the Ottawa County Board of Commissioners.
Oh, and this year’s Mott Community College Board of Trustees.
Oh, and a Trump rally.
Notice a theme?
Yup. And in this case Elon is telling you, “But it’s ok. Go to Acme Industries and you can get a lock from them for free.”
He’s trying to build up the BS that only today’s verified accounts are legit, which is almost laughable when you see who is verified now.
Two factor authentication isn't a "perk." In today's environment, it's a basic personal security feature that should be legislated as standard across all platforms. This is like a landlord charging extra for locks on apartment doors.
@bkbirge @lyndastraffin @namwella1961 It is for me. 3/23 is my last day here, I guess? It’s been an interesting run since 2010. It started out as being such a great, almost instantaneous source of information from credible journalists.
