I have witnessed this club go from doubters to believers, and from believers to champions. It took hard work and I always did everything I could to help the club get there. Nothing makes me prouder than that.
Us crumbling to yet another defeat this season was very painful and not what our fans deserve. I want to see Liverpool go back to being the heavy metal attacking team that opponents fear and back to being a team that wins trophies. That is the football I know how to play and that is the identity that needs to be recovered and kept for good. It cannot be negotiable and everyone that joins this club should adapt to it.
Winning some games here and there is not what Liverpool should be about. All teams win games.
Liverpool will always be a club that means a great deal to me and to my family. I want to see it succeed for long after I have moved on.
As I’ve always said, qualifying to next season’s Champions League is the bare minimum and I will do everything I can to make that happen.
Liverpool may be desperate to stick with Arne Slot, but that stance won't withstand the Anfield crowd turning against him. Today felt like that - these fans are just sick of watching a passive, toothless brand of football they have seen for over a year now.
6 - Liverpool have now scored six 90th-minute winners against Everton in the Premier League - the most one side has against a single opponent in the competition's history. Bragging.
Football doesn’t have a revenue problem. It has a cost problem ⬇️
And that isn’t the fault of fans.
Instead of locking in price rises, clubs should be working together on wage control, agent reform and ending the race on ticket prices.
Earlier this year the club posted record revenues of over £700m.
This increase generates them just £1.2m. Or 3 weeks of Mo Salah if you’d like
The question has to be why, and why can’t we find ways that sees club revenues grow but supporters not paying more?
1 - Since 2017-18, Mohamed Salah ranks 1st in the Premier League for:
Goals (189)
Assists (92)
Open Play Chances Created (534)
Shots (1,104)
Shots on Target (480)
Touches in the Opposition Box (2,717)
Relentless.
Rio Ngumoha completed more dribbles (2) and created as many chances (1) as Mo Salah and Cody Gakpo combined vs Nottingham Forest.
He came on in the 76th minute. 😳
