The worst thing about abusers, is that they love you publicly. It then becomes difficult for you to explain to anyone that behind closed door, this person is a demon.
So you find yourself keeping up an appearance because everyone you should talk to is "genuinely happy for you" and envying your relationship/marriage.
Dear Ex-Classmates, 🥺🫶
Some of us didn’t further our education after secondary school.
Some went to university.
Some got married; some are still single.
Some are settled, while others are still struggling to survive.
Some can barely afford two meals a day.
Some have travelled abroad, while others went back to the village.
Some have seen hell and are still going through it.
And sadly, some are no longer with us.
For some, the last classroom they ever sat in was our secondary school classroom, and the last exam they wrote was our final secondary school exam.
In short, life has not been kind to everyone.
So, whenever you call, meet, or run into an old classmate, please keep the conversation simple. Be kind. Be considerate.
The fact that we are still alive and have the opportunity to see one another again is already something worth celebrating. ❤️
Don’t make someone feel less valuable because you’re married, engaged, successful, or have multiple degrees.
If you’re in a better position today, extend a hand and be a blessing to someone. Don’t mock them for where life has placed them.
Life is unpredictable. Today’s advantage can become tomorrow’s struggle.
Be humble. Be kind. And remember where you came from.
Remember the people that came through for you. To see helper is hard. Some of you feel entitled to help as if you gave someone money to keep for you. But when they help you, you are not grateful, and very forgetful.
Be good to your friends. To have friends, you must first make yourself friendly. We talk a lot about bad friends, but are you a good friend? Some of you want to connect with only people above you. Have you been good and respectful to the friends at your level and beneath you? There is no class in friendship. You have a responsibility to be there for your friends and be an anchor of hope and safety for them.
Love your partner. Choosing to date them, imposes a responsibility to love and to cherish. Their heart should feel light because they have you in their life. You should always find new ways to love them and make their life better. To love is to give, so GIVE and keep GIVING. Do everything you can not to break the trust they have in you because trust is a fragile thing.
In every sphere of human relationship, there is an acceptable code of conduct and you don't breach that. I hope you experience the kind of relationship that works easily and humanely, where cruelty doesn't intercept the bond you share.
When Allah makes things easy for you—the marriage, the job, childbirth, good family and other blessings, do not be tempted to think that those struggling with the same things are lazy, not trying hard enough, or not doing enough.
What Allah makes easy for you may be a test of gratitude, while what He makes difficult for someone else may be a test of patience.
Be grateful for your ease, and never use it to judge someone else’s struggle.
Allahumma rahmataka arju fala takilni ila nafsi tarfata ‘aynin wa aslih li sha’ni kullahu la ilaha ila anta.
O Allah, I hope for Your mercy. Do not leave me to myself even for a blink of an eye. Correct all of my affairs for me. There is none worthy of worship except You. Ameen🤲🤲🤲🤲
From what is apparent, he lived and died a muslim. And it’s our responsibility as Ummah to pray for him.
May Allah accept the return of Taiwo Hassan Ogogo, forgive his shortcomings and reunite him with the pious people that left before him.
Inna lillahi Wa Inna illehi Rajioon.
Ogogo is special. A proper legend that deserves every honor possible.
He had a niche “mo fi titobi Olorun Oba se eleri”. He was always serious and giving his best to the extent that it took one week to his death for us to know he was that ill. Proper Legend. RIP Taiwo Hassan 🕊️
Sometimes, we hurt people and we blame them for getting angry at us, judge them and get angry with them for ending the relationship or marriage. In this instance, there is a double offence - the infidelity and having a child with another woman.
We judge women for paternity fraud. We cannot play ignorance on this matter. Her anger is valid, and honestly, she deserves to be angrier. If she walks out of the marriage, you should understand why she walked out. You would want your child to return home to you in such instance - except you have a different value system. It is a lot for the wife to deal with because the family will never be the same again. The other woman will always be a part of the man's life by virtue of being the mother to his child.
You can show remorse and ask for forgiveness, and let her decide for herself if she wants to forgive you and continue the marriage. But don't play the "we are in Africa and it is a man's world" card. There is a face to the pain you caused. She is your wife, a human being, not a ram. I don't buy into this "it is a woman's world abroad" and "it is a man's world in Africa" as an excuse to hurt people. We all know what we are doing and we ought to do better. If you say you want to do life with somebody, you owe them respect, consideration and dignity. The marriage vow says "to love and to cherish, till death do us part, according to God’s holy law. In the presence of God I make this vow."
God bearing witness to the marital vow should mean something above gender based agenda.
So I came across a video where this lady said and I quote:
"If dem don see you finish, repackage again."
Funny right? Yeah.🤣
But there is a psychology behind it.
People often judge you based on who you used to be. They assume the version they met is the version you will always be.
The truth is, you don't owe anyone permanent access to an outdated version of yourself. As you learn, grow, and evolve, let your life reflect it.
The best repackaging is not pretending to be someone else. It's becoming a better version of yourself💯
Happiness is a state of mind. Today, you're happy. Tomorrow, you're not. Next tomorrow, you're happy. It is fleeting.
At the moment, No, because something bothers me. But it will pass regardless.
But that is not what I'm talking about. I mean long term happiness. A life of unwavering happiness. There is a vacuum in life only God can fill.
When you marry someone, you also marry the history in which they were raised. I’ll give you an example.
Obama was a product of separated parents and a generational history of broken homes. Michelle was a product of healthy family relations where everyone - including extended family - met on Sunday. Because of this, Obama never saw the need for marriage and thought it was overrated because he never had that example growing up. Michelle saw marriage as an important part of life and wanted to reproduce the family tradition she was raised in.
In the end, he managed to propose for her sake after pressure from her, and committed to making it work. This means that, while familial history is important as it explains the root of a person’s behaviour, you have to consider the person’s willingness to break that pattern where the behaviour is negative because it takes an astronomical amount of work and courage to disrupt a familiar pattern.
Dear Menstruation,
We need to talk.
First of all, I respect your consistency. Every month, no fail.
You don’t even send a memo, you just show up. That’s commitment.
But can we address a few things? 😢
You already take bl00d. Fine, we’ve accepted that part.
You already bring cramps that make us question every life choice we’ve ever made. We’ve managed.
You already come with fatigue that turns a simple flight of stairs into Mount Everest. We’ve coped.
So my question is,why the extra?
Why do you always have to announce your arrival by redecorating our faces with pimples? 🥲😢
Is the bl00d not enough announcement? Is the back pain not loud enough? Do you really need to leave souvenirs on our cheeks and chin for the whole world to see?
We are already dealing with mood swings, cravings, and the fear of staining white. We are already calculating pad money.
Please, can we sign a peace treaty? Take the bl00d, take the cramps if you must, but leave our faces alone.
We are managing enough. Let us at least keep our glow.
Yours sincerely,
Every girl who has checked the mirror and said “God, not again” few days before you arrived.
Ladies, what’s the most annoying thing your period does to you apart from cramps?

There's such a concept as conservation of energy.
Stop being a best friend to a best friend, to whom you're not their best friend.
Don't go the extra mile for anyone who wouldn't do the same for you.
Stop overextending.
"No" is a beautiful word. Use it often.
Post NYSC, when I was struggling in the dirt of dirts. 20K teaching job with 3 tutorial hustles.
I would come back every evening, wear my nicest shirt and walk into a car shop - pockets empty.
"I like the rims on this one, do you have the color in black?"
"Hmmm. The price isn't bad. Can I see the BMW equivalent?"
I'd do this from car shop to car shop. Not because I wanted to waste their time, swimming in delusion or had nothing better to do with my time but I understood the power of visualization.
Sportsmen use it all the time.
You see bah, you stay long in a particular situation - your system starts to normalize it. You start to figure out how to "manage".
" 20K salary abi. Well, if I see like 50K own. I'll just try and walk 2km instead of entering bus"
This is worse than comfort zone because there's no iota of comfort and you're slowly conditioning yourself to optimize it as your new normal.
You need to find ways to put fire in your bosom. To make your dreams nightmares, and your living daylight daydreams. Visualization helps you to see what is possible.
It doesn't have to be with cars, but it has to be with variables incredibly beyond your reach at the moment.
You'll never be big. You'll never grow. You'll never breakforth - if your mind hasn't first conceived the possibility of that future.
Don't let your mind condition what's supposed to be a bus stop for you, become a final destination.
SITZ BATH.
The Secret Healing Ritual Every Mother Deserves after Vaginal birth: Sitz Bath, Warm Water, Not Hot Water!
There is something about pain that lingers, something about the rawness of childbirth that stays with a woman long after the contractions fade. And yet, we do not talk about it enough.
We do not talk enough about the sting when she sits, the soreness that reminds her of the miracle she birthed, the way the world expects her to move on as if her body did not just do something divine.
And so, this is for the mothers...the ones who whisper their pain into pillows while rocking newborns, the ones who wince but do not speak of it because they think they must endure. And for our grandmothers, who never had the luxury of warm water and quiet moments to themselves.
Let us talk about the sitz bath.
A Ritual, Not Just A Remedy
A sitz bath is not a requirement, no one will force it on you. But oh, how it soothes. How it cradles the body in warmth, how it speaks to wounds with kindness, how it reminds a woman that healing is just as important as giving.
When you lower yourself into that shallow basin full of salt or antiseptic...warm water, not hot water!... you are giving yourself permission to care, to pause, to acknowledge that your body has done something extraordinary and it deserves gentleness.
What It Does for the Body
● It soothes. The stitches, the tears, the places where your body stretched beyond what you thought possible.
● It calms. The swelling, the aching, the rawness that makes every movement a reminder.
● It cleanses. Gently, without intrusion, without the harshness of chemicals or discomfort.
● It comforts. Even the silent pain, the one we do not name...hemorrhoids, the unspoken aftermath of pushing life into the world.
What It Does for the Soul
● It allows rest. For ten, maybe fifteen minutes, you are not just a mother; you are a woman who deserves care.
● It softens the mind. The postpartum haze, the worry, the weight of new responsibilities—let them melt, if only for a moment.
● It heals beyond the physical. Because healing is never just about the body, is it?
The Art of Doing It Right
● Two to three times a day. Or as often as your body asks for it.
● Warm water, not hot water. Just enough to hold you in comfort, never enough to burn or irritate or destroy the suture used to stich the cut(episiotomy)
● Position matters. Knees apart, let the water reach where it must.
● Hygiene first. A clean basin, clean hands, a fresh towel to pat dry...no rubbing, no irritation.
A Little Extra, If You Wish
Some women would use Epsom salt, others antiseptic ...tiny gifts from nature to speed up healing.
But the truth? Even plain sitz bath water is enough. Because it is not just about what is in the water, but about what the water does.
When to Begin, When to Pause
As soon as you are cleared. Sometimes right after delivery, sometimes a day or two later.
For as long as you need. Two weeks, six weeks...your body will tell you when it is time.
But always, listen. If something feels off, if discomfort turns into pain, if healing seems slow, seek guidance. Always.
Because motherhood is a gift, yes. But so is the mother. And she, too, must be cared for.

Stop deluding yourself that your partner will not find someone like you. That is just delusion enveloped in arrogance. Nobody is irreplaceable. It is always best to tell yourself it is over and wish them well
Who told you they want someone like you? You might be better looking, richer or more educated, more advanced in careeer, but you're not what they want. Your arrogance about who you are and what you've achieved will not let you accept you're not what they want. So you convince yourself you're too much for them. Alright, you're too much but they don't want you. Deal with it.
People are better than you out there. People are more suitable for your Ex than you out there. Expecting your Ex to not move on and be hurting from missing you is a gross delusion. That is why you hurt a lot when your Ex moves on first. Why are you bothered if they got a new partner after convincing yourself they would not see somebody like you?
Some of you even curse your Ex to never be happy. You need to wake up. But yhe embarrassing thing you do is comparing yourself to your Ex's new partner. Are they better looking, what do they do? Where do they live? Are they riches? Are they happier? You'll just die of heart attack. Learn to move on. They dont deserve you, but na you dey cry. LMAO
People don't need another you to replace you. They just need someone that is good for them. They are not settling, they are happy. Use your "superior" qualities and qualification to find your own person. You need to wake up from your delusion
You see how we are the ones validatongbit, even though we dont know these people? That is how it is when you marry for look or money.
It doesn't matter if you'er good for each other. As long as you LOOK good together, people will assume you're happy.
The same applies to money. As long as you live in a nice house and drive good car, everyone assumes you're happy. Once that door closes at night, na you know wetin your eyes dey see.
Money and looks are okay, but ensure you're actually happy by marrying right, not doing it for external validation so that when you post, people will awwwwn and God when your ship.
