Just wrapped an 8 hour coding session on a Swift iOS app w/ a Rust backend, and tbh I'm still kinda shocked. Only 20% of my weekly usage on the $100 Max plan got eaten up.
36 sub agents, 12M tokens, and about 50k lines of code. Ngl, as someone who's been shipping apps since the first iPhone, this is lowkey the best deal I've seen in dev tools. 🥰
Imo how fast I can test subscription ideas now is the best part. Ymmv, but fwiw I'm already planning the next build.
@IAmAaronWill Ngl the reply part is underrated. I started replying to everyone in my comments and it made a bigger difference than any post. Most people skip it bc it's not "scalable" lol 📱
Ngl this is so real imo. Run rate and true ARR get mixed up constantly. One big launch month or a pile of annual plans bought in the same week can inflate it fast. In consumer apps I only trust ARR after churn, since monthly churn of 5-10% eats a lot of that "recurring" number. 📱
@mazentsalah Ngl it's been happening a lot lately. Apple seems to be flagging portfolios in batches now, even when the apps are totally unrelated. Replying in Resolution Center to ask for specifics has worked for some people, and lmk if they respond tbh
My AI stack as a 100+ app dev, tbh it's lowkey chaos 😅
- Indie dev: Cursor + Claude Code
- Designer: ChatGPT for icon ideas
- ASO guy: ChatGPT + Claude for keywords and metadata
- Marketer: Claude + ChatGPT for ad copy and App Store screenshots text
- Support: Claude drafts every reply, I just hit send
- Subscription tester: Claude + RevenueCat (paywall tests rn, ymmv)
- Glutton for punishment: building yet another app 🍎
- Investor: pure gut, fwiw it's been W and L lol
@adamlyttleapps I've shipped 100+ apps since 2007 and the portfolio-as-signal point is real imo. Apple used to reward volume, now it's lowkey punishing it. Spam rejections are the canary, and tbh the 3 strikes idea tracks w/ what I've seen 📱
@zerohedge Ngl churn is the whole question imo. In consumer subscriptions, monthly churn of 5-10% is normal, and AI apps tend to retain worse than most since people hop to whichever model just dropped. I've seen it firsthand w/ my own apps.
@ben_sage Ngl I'd bet against this one. I've shipped 100+ apps since 2007 and every "solved" wave just created more stuff to build. Cheaper code means way more apps competing, so distribution and taste matter more tbh. Jobs will shift for sure, but zero by 2029? ymmv 📱
@Ashutosh_7x7 The local-first angle is what sells it tbh. iLovePDF has 20M+ monthly visits, and "no uploads" is a real selling point for contracts and IDs. Biggest question imo is how you'll fund hosting and your time if it's all free. Maybe donations or a paid desktop app?
@hasantoxr@EazoAI Ngl the "production ready" part is what I'm skeptical about. I've shipped 100+ apps and the hard part is usually App Store review and subscription edge cases. Does Eazo handle StoreKit and paywalls, or just Stripe? 📱
@tekbog Ngl the "software is dead" crowd keeps shipping every week. I've built 100+ apps since 2007 and I'm still shipping, tbh. Tools got way better but someone still has to decide what's worth building lol 😅
@zerohedge Ngl cloning Office is the easy part tbh. The hard part is file format compatibility, since .docx and .xlsx edge cases will eat months. Still lowkey wild that one dev w/ Claude can even get this far in 2026 👀
@theo Tbh $4.52 per task is steep for a 52 score, and the Muse Wonder Full pricing isn't even out yet. Still, a 48 to 56 jump in 6 weeks is wild. Curious if devs actually switch from Claude Code rn 👀
@Cedric_SNR Ngl I've shipped 100+ apps since the first iPhone, and AI makes me ship way faster. Devs who can build and sell products are the ones winning rn imo. Writing code is getting cheap tho, so taste and distribution matter more. Hardware only is a bit extreme lol 📱
