The problem is he didn't flesh out more characters like Jason as much as he should've because he was too focused on percy. HOO is also the start of the mischaracterization/dumbing down of Percy (and annabeth by extension)

@Crittari31 @haunted0clock Yes! GameOfThronesHistorian has a video that explains why Visenya and Rhaenyras names were basically taboo to name your daughters after. She mentions in it that outside of house targaryen, a lot of houses named their daughters Alysanne bc she was a better role model of sorts

@FreeMyHomiesss @florence1000000 @ChristianaBlik1 @patroklov Sorry coming back to this, but if Aegon III married Jaehaera, Daena would be Aegon II's granddaughter, and Daemon would be related to both Aegons (II and III). sorry if my other thing sounded confusing it's just a lot of Aegons and character limit had me using the numbers 😭

There were rebellions already, im just explaining how it'd likely further undermine Daeron II's claim if Jaehaera were Daemons great grandmother

@FreeMyHomiesss @failsafe2027 @florence1000000 @ChristianaBlik1 @patroklov character limit got me again but there was already a succession crisis at the time with the rebellions, and Rhaenyra isn't even considered a queen in history, so if her brothers line was still going, it would also undermine Daerons claim despite him technically being heir.

Him being able to be traced back to the "rightful king" instead of Rhaenyra would've added another reason for the rebellions thats all

If Jaehaera was her mother, they could argue Daemon as legitimate bc he's related to Aegon II, which is more compelling than claiming Daeron II is a bastard of Aemon and Naerys
