Preaching water in Uganda but drenched in chang’aa in Kenya. Stop the hypocrisy, Bishop. Where are the convictions, jail sentences and seizure of trillions of shillings of public assets stolen by MPs, Cabinet Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, governors, the president and other public officials in Kenya? Table concrete evidence. Stop preaching.
Are trumped up treason charges the way African despots have learnt to illegally fend off their opponents?
On February 6, 2018, despot Uhuru Kenyatta purported to charge me for treason for having sworn in Raila Odinga as the ‘People’s President’ and organized the National Resistance Movement—Kenya. That was after the despot had blown up my house with explosives, abducted, detained, tortured and forced me out of the country and blocked me from returning for 5 years in defiance of the Constitution and numerous valid court orders. The despot managed to destroy the NRM-Ke by those barbaric acts.
In February 2025, tyrant @WilliamsRuto helped Uganda’s Butcher, @KagutaMuseveni, to kidnap @kizzabesigye1 from Nairobi, smuggled him to Uganda and charged him with treason. Besigye has been detained and subjected to cruel and inhumane treatment since then.
On April 10, 2025, despot @SuluhuSamia kidnapped, detained and eventually charged @TunduALissu with treason because he called for “no elections without constitutional changes” in Tanzania. Mr. Lissu has been detained and being subjected to unimaginable cruelty over those trumped up charges.
Yesterday, August 27, 2026, Zambia’s @HHichilema joined the Club of African Tyrants by kidnapping and detaining his main opponent in the recent presidential election, Brian Mundubile and his running mate. @HHichilema took the extraordinary step of locking up all courts to deny Mundubile the right to file a petition against Hichilema’s brazen electoral theft. Now, Hichilema is charging Mundubile and his running mate with treason as a strategy to fend off opposition against his tyranny.
We can all see what @WilliamsRuto is planning next year. It’s as clear as daylight.
As I have always argued, with the structurally, institutionally and systemically defective neocolonial states, it does not matter how “good” a constitution or “leader” any country has; the states were designed to be repressive, exploitative, inequitable, corrupt and unjust.
Only a revolution will change the structural and institutional defects and transform the lives of African.

A whole former Chief Justice and former Vice President of Kenya are celebrating the Constitution which has never been implemented and asserting, disgracefully, that its enactment in 2010 “ended imperial presidency.”
If that’s true, I would like them—and everyone else cheering the empty ornament—why we haven’t had justice for the thousands of Kenyans who have been abducted, illegally detained, tortured, maimed, disappeared or murdered since 2010 if the imperial presidency is truly dead.
Why is Uhuru Kenyatta, Fred Matiang’i, Karanja Kibicho, William Ruto, Kipchumba Murkomen and many others who have abused power, presided over atrocities, plundered public resources and subverted the constitution not behind bars if the imperial presidency is dead?
Why haven’t we had anyone prosecuted, convicted and jailed for kidnapping, torturing and murdering Crispin Odhiambo Mbai, Chris Musando, Oscar Kingara, George Paul Oulu, Kianjokoma Brothers, Rex Masai, Kennedy Onyango, Eric Kayoni, Denzel Omondi, and many others?
Why haven’t we had those who plundered public resources through the Goldenberg, Anglo Leasing, Maize, Eurobond and other scandals in prison and the TRILLIONS of SHILLINGS looted returned?
Why is corruption in the police service, judiciary and all sectors of public sphere reached a pandemic stage of the constitution is working and imperial presidency is dead?
Why haven’t we had full disclosure on Kenya’s odious debt which the people continue to be forced to pay without having benefited from it?
Are Kenyans genuinely more empowered, enjoy more rights, have access to more services and are treated more respectfully since 2010?
Have Kenyan presidents behaved more accountably, adhered to the dictates of the constitution and the rule of law since 2010?
The answer quite clearly is no. So, what are you celebrating?
What exactly has changed since 2010?
Kenyans must REJECT the attempt by a few BANDITS to construct a few entitled families as MONARCHS over the affairs of the Republic.
The young man being peddled here has ZERO leadership qualities: no integrity, no known competence, no ideas, no vision, no ability to articulate any coherent policy and clearly no ability to organize and mobilize. He is just an empty trouser with a stick spouting the name of his adopted father.
The people of Kibra, like the people of Kenya, are not slaves of the Odinga family and must have the freedom to choose their MP without coercion, intimidation, threats and/or bribery.
Ida Amolo should retire from public life and focus on her grand children and if she desires, write a memoir. She must stop hawking Raila Odinga’s name for her self-aggrandizement. Raila is not God Almighty to be worshipped. Kenyans have tolerated the nonsense enough.

On November 24, 2015, despot Uhuru Kenyatta FIRED Charity Ngilu as cabinet secretary for Lands, Housing and Urban Development because of abuse of office, misappropriation and numerous other constitutional violations against the Kenyan people. For despot Uhuru Kenyatta, the Commander-in-Chief of Looting and abuse of office to have fired Ngilu for crimes he has gold medals in, she must be a platinum holder.
In 2017, Ngilu managed to play victim and manipulated Kitui County voters into making her a governor. On July 21, 2019, Ngilu burnt down the Kitui County Finance Office and destroyed incriminating financial documents which the @EACCKenya needed to nail her.
Today, 11 years after despot Uhuru Kenyatta fired her for stealing public resources and 7 years after she had destroyed evidence of her fraudulent activities in Kitui, despot Uhuru Kenyatta is back with Ngilu in their efforts to orchestrate the RECYCLING of members of the ORGANIZED BANDITS and to PERPETUATE IMPUNITY.
To put a stop to more than 60 years of bandit recycling, Kenyans must stop both tyrant @WilliamsRuto and his cabals and Despot Uhuru Kenyatta and his group of bandits. Both teams represent the worst in our country.
Neither group of thugs represent change, transformation, equity and social justice and both group of thugs must be defeated and punished.

KENYA remains a UNITARY STATE with DEVOLUTION used only for decorative purposes.
IF Kenyans want to realize EQUITY in governance and economic development, we must make Kenya a fully-fledged FEDERAL SYSTEM with very limited powers to the CENTRE based in Nairobi.
Genuine EQUITY will never be realized with the National Government controlling 85% of the country’s budget and 100% of power but with less than 20% real responsibilities over healthcare, education, infrastructure and other services.
15% of the audited national budget is not devolution; it’s a joke. I made this argument numerous times during the constitution making process but was shouted down by those who have benefited from the culture of corruption and impunity for decades. They refused to allow federalism or a full-fledged devolution because they feared equity.
The design, architecture, infrastructure and operation of the DEVOLUTION system in Kenya perpetuates CORRUPTION, mostly at the National level where no genuine accountability for the 85% of the national budget is realized and wanton theft of the paltry 15% of the net audited national budget given to the 47 counties.
A UNITARY STATE controlled by ORGANIZED TRIBAL BANDITS from Nairobi will continue to perpetuate unequal, inequitable and unjust exercise of power and utilization of resources.
Look at the world: Nearly all the technologically and economically developed countries are either federations or those which had been transformed through revolutions—Russia, China, USA, Germany—name them.

Contrary to popular propaganda, Hino was not “brought to Kenya by Raila Odinga”; he was donated to the Grand Coalition experiment by the Japanese International Co-operation Agency (JICA). Raila met Hino in Nairobi for the first time in 2009. I was there.

Anyang’ used to be sharp in the 1970s and early 1980s. But he has seriously deteriorated over time and is no longer useful for serious intellectual thinking or work. The others are of dubious intellectual pedigree: thick on CV but light in real life.

Julie Gichuru and her husband Tony “Flash” Gichuru operate one of the most sophisticated state propaganda networks ever seen in Kenya.
Tony channels funds to commercial activists and bloggers to advance William Ruto’s agenda, while Julie trains TikTokers and journalists in the use of manipulative pitch and tone variation designed to influence emotions and provoke a sense of revolutionary catharsis in their audiences.
The distinctive, near-shouting delivery employed by Yvonne Okwara and TikToker Zulekha Godana is a direct product of Julie’s training.
Tony is the son of Samuel Gichuru, the former Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) CEO who authorized a series of illegal and highly extortionate agreements with Independent Power Producers.
Those contracts continue to drive up electricity costs, deter investors, and make daily life more expensive for Kenyans. The fuel-adjustment levy and foreign-exchange charges embedded in every bill or token purchase exist largely to sustain these agreements.
To manufacture demand for diesel-generated power, Samuel Gichuru and Nicholas Biwott drained the Seven Forks dams and then used a compliant mainstream media to amplify reports of declining water levels. This engineered crisis triggered emergency legislation pushed through by bribed members of parliament.
Tony has inherited and continues to benefit from that legacy of corruption and primitive accumulation. In Nairobi circles he is often regarded as “old money,” wealth originally extracted through the suffering and deaths of ordinary Kenyans.
He now serves as an operative for the Ruto administration, maintaining key bloggers on his payroll. Each month he meets them at Cedars Hotel in Nairobi to distribute payments funneled through Kipchumba Murkomen.
This predatory couple has been embedded in the system for years. Just as Samuel Gichuru worked with Daniel arap Moi to loot the country to collapse, the son now works with William Ruto, completing a generational heist.
The more things change, the more they remain the same.
Kenyans were treated like slaves yesterday at Ruto’s Kilgoris home (stolen from Joseph Murumbi’s family). Rise up. Revolt.
The rich entitled Kenyan elite bandits attended a wedding in Kilgoris yesterday. They wore tailored suits, flew in helicopters and drove in multimillion shilling vehicles. They danced, sang, ate well, and belched, mostly at the public expense.
But PHYSICALLY locked out by a barbed wire fence and kept at bay by heavily armed ferocious military and police officers were thousands of villagers and other Kenyans, who spent the entire day in the sun, hungry—and whom the bandits spoke to via mounted loud speakers across the fence.
I shuddered at the images and symbolism of the majority of a sovereign people living in squalor and treated like slaves by their Nyang’au Bandits.

Watching Ruto speak about investor confidence, economic recovery and booming opportunities sometimes feels like watching The Truman Show, where one man lives inside a carefully manufactured world and everyone surrounding him helps keep the illusion alive.
Truman wakes up each morning believing his peaceful town is real, never knowing that the houses, roads, weather, news and people around him are all part of a giant television production controlled from behind the scenes.
Ruto appears to wake up inside a similar political production, where advisers arrive with attractive charts, ministers praise economic growth, bloggers celebrate imaginary achievements and officials assure him that Kenyans are finally enjoying the fruits of his policies.
Outside that carefully managed set, businesses are closing, workers are losing jobs, traders are being buried under taxes and people who once supported entire families are now borrowing money for food, rent and school fees.
In Truman’s world, his wife, best friend, neighbours and colleagues are actors who know the truth but continue playing their roles, smiling at him and repeating reassuring lines whenever he begins suspecting that something is wrong.
Ruto has Cabinet Secretaries, economic advisers, governors, MPs and government propagandists doing exactly that, constantly telling him the economy is performing well, even when almost every Kenyan knows someone whose life has collapsed under his government.
Whenever Truman attempts to escape his artificial town, the producers create traffic jams, accidents, storms and frightening warnings meant to push him back into the comfortable lie they have built around him.
Whenever Kenyans challenge Ruto’s economic story, his government produces another excuse involving global conditions, past governments, dishonest traders, lazy young people or citizens who supposedly cannot recognise the opportunities surrounding them.
The illusion begins collapsing when Truman notices a studio light falling from the sky, people repeating the same movements and a radio station accidentally describing his exact location as he drives through town.
Ruto’s falling studio lights are the empty shops, auctioned homes, unpaid salaries, struggling schools, closed businesses and formerly comfortable Kenyans who have suddenly been reduced to begging relatives and friends for survival.
The clearest sign that the set is collapsing is that the economic success Ruto describes cannot be found anywhere outside government speeches, political rallies, State House dinners and businesses owned by people close to his administration.
The only people who appear to recognise this booming economy are Ruto, his friends, government contractors and officials whose salaries, allowances, tenders and lifestyles are protected by the same taxpayers being told to tighten their belts.
In The Truman Show, millions watching from outside understand that Truman’s world is fake, but the man living at the centre of it remains trapped inside the story created for him by people benefiting from the production.
That is Ruto’s Kenya today, a giant political studio where those surrounding the President keep reading from the investor-confidence script, even as the real country outside the cameras becomes poorer, angrier and more desperate.
The question is whether Ruto genuinely believes the production around him, or whether he knows the economy is collapsing for ordinary Kenyans and simply expects everyone to keep acting until the final credits roll.
