Here are the facts.

In 2022 there were 21 135 murders in South Africa.

There were 5522 murders at residences. There were 166 murders on farms.

There are over 40 000 commercial farms and over 1 million people living on farms. Farm workers are between 800 000 to 1 million a year.

The number of murders on farms is extremely low compared to residences and compared to townships in South Africa. Considering that 1.61% of the population lives on commercial farms and 0.78% of all murders happen on farms.

Of the 166 and sometimes lower murders on farms. Farm owners kill farm workers disproportionately and they kill their own spouses disproportionately.

There is no evidence of a single farm murder in South Africa which happed as a result of political ideology.
