🚨 Urgent: @Stripe@StripeSupport, Bangladeshi creators and businesses are facing a major payout crisis, and we need your team to look into your local banking pipeline immediately.
I have 4 separate payouts from the month of June. One specific payout went out on June 4th and was marked "Success" on June 15th. Even allowing for the standard 5 business days, the funds should have landed by June 22nd. Today is July 4th, and absolutely nothing has arrived. None of my payouts for June have been received.
Here is where the system is breaking down: Stripe routes these payouts to Citi Bank @Citibank , which is then supposed to transfer them to our local Bangladeshi bank accounts. In the past, Citi Bank held our funds for nearly 45 days without any valid reason. The only way we got our money was by physically visiting a Citi Bank branch in Bangladesh and only then did they release it 2 days later.
This isn't just happening to me. I have spoken with many others in the Bangladeshi creator and business community, and their funds from last 1 or 2 month are also completely frozen.
The lack of consistency is hurting us:
Some creators visit the branch, and Citi Bank tells them they haven't received any money at all.
Others visit the exact same branch, and Citi Bank suddenly releases the funds the very next day.
Holding our hard earned revenue without explanation or communication is severely hampering local businesses, startups, and creators who rely on this cash flow to survive.
Stripe, please look into how your partner bank is handling these transactions in Bangladesh. We need a permanent, automated solution, not a system where we have to physically march into a bank branch just to get our payouts released. 🇧🇩
