@nicksortor I don't see any mass panic in this video. I don't like this kind of protesting but people are calm and reacting appropriately to high winds isn't really a Breaking News story?
@creativeburne In another twenty years there's gonna be so few people with children that no one will be buying 3+ bedroom houses. Those certainly will have to drop price, no?
@DerrickEvans4WV Half the snap recipients are kids or disabled seniors, neither of whom can work. I don't think either would do well subsisting on rice and beans.
@AngoraGoatLady I can't remember the last time a doctor did any of those things for me. They just order yearly bloodwork, look at it, and renew my meds. I was like "my liver area hurts really bad' and she said 'yeah, it's probably cause you're on keto so long.' (which, ok, is true, but..check?)
@sircalebhammer After my husband passed, I thought of buying a used smaller car because I have an ancient SUV, but then I thought...it's paid for! No lease, low insurance. Why would I want to take on a new expense? Yeah I pay a bit more for gas then a newer smaller car but that's a few dollars.
@kpat72@Xtremegirl4@JonKatz79 No but they apply to most and that's what makes them stereotypes. As someone who routinely fixes computer problems for the 70+ crowd, people our age being computer savvy are few and far between. They think I'm Houdini for getting their printer to work again. :p
@Xtremegirl4@JonKatz79 For the ones over 70 unfortunately they don't really know how to look up or find out anything online and don't even try to learn. They just want to see Facebook and memes. They love memes. And kitten pictures. :/
@JonKatz79 They're not. I fix computer problems for my local seniors for free, and most of them just remade new accounts whenever they couldn't remember the password of the old one. The sheer amount of garbage on their computers would boggle the mind btw. :(
@MoundLore Sometimes I imagine 2,000 years in the future they'll be thinking the existence and destruction of the Twin Towers was just an allegorical myth.
My Alexa was having problems, slow / no response, pinging randomly. So I look online and read 'unplug for a minute then plug back in.' I unplug. And then I go "Alexa, set timer one minute." Because Jodi. :/
@kittenaround_51 With my mother is was always tinfoil. I don't know why she always loaded me up with tinfoil, but I had like ten rolls in my house at one point. She's been dead five years I still have her tinfoil in my home, I pass them off to MY daughter when she visits me now lol. :p
@alphafox When I was 16 years old I was hungry for those hours! I worked at a summer camp, bowling alley, plus a movie theater on the weekends...like 80 hours a week, I liked making money so much! :p We had fun at work though. Maybe it's different now.
