3 months of paid sick leave for Mitch. No medicaid let alone sick time for the rest of you. If you're tired of the bullshit, stand up and vote these assholes out. You can change the way things are.
IT SHOULD BE A BIGGER STORY THAT THE US PRESIDENT ACTUALLY TRIED TO BRIBE THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ON LIVE TV 🙄
IN A NATION OF LAWS HE WOULD HAVE BEEN DRAGGED OUT OF THE WHITE HOUSE IN HANDCUFFS 🤬
The Billionaires do not create jobs. Stop saying it. Without billionaires, we would still build things, design things, teach things, sell things, buy things. Billionaires capitalise profits. That's just it
There's a man fucking up America right now and his name is Donald Trump.
There's another weird guy named Peter Thiel working on placing the world under mass surveillance.
Over in Israel there's a man named Benjamin Netanyahu that won't stop killing innocent people.
Oh and also there's Vladimir Putin, arguably the most brutal man in the world.
And we don't even have to get into all the sociopathic billionaire boys clubs.
All these dudes bringing the world to a brink of collapse.
Naturally, the Right is instead discussing how the 19th Amendment needs to be repealed so women can't vote.
Right, because that's totally the problem with society right now. It's the women.
I mean are we not even thinking anymore? Fucking idiots.
I’m always astonished that billionaires would rather ignore the climate crisis and prepare to live in a bunker with dvds and baked beans than devote a modicum of their bottomless wealth to saving the planet where we have fresh fruit and soft grass and blue skies.
Reporter: What’s your reaction to the Supreme Court allowing construction of the White House ballroom?
AOC: I think the Supreme Court has demonstrated their inherent conflicts of interest with the President. This is very clearly one of the starkest examples that we have seen. There is no congressional authorization for these funds to be distributed in that way.
Congress holds the power of the purse. The finances of this matter, and how this multi-billion-dollar project was even being paid for, has never been clear from the beginning. There are enormous conflicts of interest inherent in this matter, and the Supreme Court has already ruled that they believe that the President should be able to commit crimes while he’s in office.
And I believe that they are complicit in the tearing up of many of the checks and balances that we see in the Constitution.
The United States in 2026:
- Spend your week's wages to buy groceries.
- Get salmonella poisoning from the food you bought.
- Go to the doctor without insurance.
- In debt for the rest of your life.
But, you know, MAHA.
Mamdani: The powerful have always known their answer. America, in their view, is an arena of supremacy, where only a select few are allowed freedom, where not all are created equal. America, if you ask them, becomes less the more people it welcomes. America, they will tell you, belongs only to those with the right accent or the right shade of skin. The rest of us, they insist, should be grateful for merely being allowed to visit.
How small they are, how weak, how unoriginal.
At every moment in our past, those who led through exclusion and isolation have tried to win power and enrich themselves by turning us against one another. Division is the oldest trick in politics, and the cheapest. But time and again-including 250 years ago-those forces of division have been vanquished by the forces of progress.
And yet today, too many of our leaders do not believe in a vision of this nation as an asylum for the persecuted-but rather as one that persecutes those seeking asylum.
As we mark 250 years, what do we see?
We see a city of contradictions within a nation of contradictions. We see the wealthiest country in the history of the world— one where children go to sleep hungry while the world's first trillionaire hungers for more. We see monopolies that dominate every industry and oligarchs who buy elections. We see masked agents terrorizing our streets, eating food cooked by our undocumented neighbors before spiriting them away in unmarked vans. We see a nation whose immense wealth has been built by those with calloused, dirt-streaked hands —those who toil on factory floors and chisel into stone —and we see a nation that has allowed so much of that wealth to be held instead in the soft hands of a precious few.
No more billionaires. None.
Once you hit $999 million, every extra cent goes to schools and health care.
You get a trophy that says: “I won capitalism.”
And we name a dog park after you.
