So the Japanese Voice actor of Thomas the Tank Engine has passed away. he was 83 years old making him only 2 years old when the Railway Series was first Published.

We lost another legend today. 🥹

Leo Morimoto, the beloved actor and narrator has sadly passed away at the age of 83.

Known to generations of Japanese audiences, Morimoto appeared in popular dramas including Long Vacation, Shomuni, and The King’s Restaurant. He was also widely known as the narrator of the Japanese version of Thomas & Friends.

His voice work also included Royal Space Force: The Wings of Honnêamise, Bartender, Dragon Goes House-Hunting, and Agatha Christie’s Great Detectives Poirot and Marple.

His remarkable voice and lasting contributions to Japanese entertainment will continue to be remembered by fans for generations.

Rest in peace, Leo Morimoto. 🕊️

It's kinda sad to see how much has been lost to time when it comes to the railroads. The first picture shows St. Louis Union Station sometime in the 1940s. The Second shows the same station sometime in the 1970s. And the final photo shows what St. Louis Union Station is today.

There's also these images of St Louis Union station during the late 1960s and early 1970s. Union station was was pretty much abandoned as a train station by the late 1970s. Note how the track looks extremely worn.
