@RobertConner@NHL The only thing that interfered with Hart being able to play the puck was his own player cross checking the player from the Canes into him and then the net.
Good goal.
@GaryScotianNS ALL politicians from ALL parties have been willing participants in the decline of our politics to the toxicity we see today.
ALL parties are focused on character assassination and getting the perfect “gotcha” moment for their social media feeds.
Tell me I’m wrong.
@politicalham@bataille_chris Part of the opposition to new pipeline infrastructure is - “But the current pipeline isn’t even full yet! Why do we need another one?”
If there isn’t demand for more capacity, new infrastructure will never happen.
@RodAVanier Spare me your hyper partisan crap.
ALL politicians from ALL parties have been willing participants in the decline of our politics and the current toxicity that we have today.
@RealDonBradshaw As he should have.
We need to make hard choices on what our govt is spending our money on.
We cannot keep expanding and introducing new social programs. It just isn’t sustainable and is only directing funds away from core services that desperately need it (ie health care).
@DRodbone True.
But riddle me this - as one of the biggest provincial economies and biggest contributors to GDP, why does Quebec receive billions in equalization year after year? They receive the lions share every year… it’s not even close.
Surely they can stand on their own two feet?
@iwelsh Really amazed at Canadians who would rather increase taxes rather than stop the ever increasing boutique social programs and funding of absurd foreign projects.
This lack of fiscal restraint is directly impacting the funding of core services, like pensions.
@rogergeorgekeen You’re half right, this isn’t because of Carney.
We’re in a recession because of our inability to respond to Trump due to dismal productivity and weakened industrial investment for 10 years, resulting from our previous govt over regulating everything and chasing investment away.
@LukewSavage What if, call me crazy, we stopped the ever expanding boutique social programs and benefits to focus on core services, and funding absurd foreign programs and projects?
@tbw_prdcanadian Sure, things have happened during the last 10 years.
But the over regulation of industry and the economy in general already put a chill on investment, and only limited our ability to respond and recover from the events over the past 10 years.
Our economy is weak.
@malazanmarxist Zero.
But, police and military aren’t pay per use services whose demand has been declining for years, and whose services can be replaced with an email address by 99.9% of Canadians.
