It's a part of the life of an advocate to be prepared for surprises; wading through the corridors of Allahabad High Court and dodging the unexpected bullets.
1. Don't kill the spirit of a young lawyer and make them fearful and subservient all their lives.
2. It takes just a little compassion to understand that it's already way too tough for most young lawyers without the social capital, connections and privilege.....
We need to understand that they work hard but don't get even a fraction of the court's time or audience which is effectively monopolised by high profile litigation and senior members.
3. The senior judges should remember if someone snubbed and humiliated them so violently, they wouldn't be here.
Or may be, it did happen to them too, but, then, they should remind themselves that humanity lies in breaking that chain and for the bullied not to become a bully himself.......
Any one of us could have been in his situation. 'Any one of us'. I repeat again that leaving our parents nobody is even going to come to our aid. At best a few tweets from monetized accounts. Being a junior feels like a punishment in legal profession. Everyone wants to rough u up
A lawyer can be briefed on any subject across any profession, of strange terms he has never come across, yet, in a short time and after a thorough over-the-night research, he starts advising on same as though an expert in that field.
Only lawyers are so trained, if you ever wonder why we are referred as LEARNED!
Indian constitutional law can be read like an alphabet.
Each letter marks a turning point where the Supreme Court reshaped democracy, liberty, and state power.
Here is an A–Z of landmark judgments of India 🧵-
Every Plaint or Written Statement I've read so far across 13 States, none of them adhered to the law of pleadings.
I want to share much more on what a pleading should look like, but here's a DOZEN points you can take note of.
Also, as Winter Vacations are around the corner, would you be up for a small 3-day cohort where we discuss drafting in detail?

A few days ago I did something no advocates should do. A couple of poor people came to the office about their pending writ against the government. A genuine case but matter wouldn't be taken up because of paucity of time. They were unhappy with their advocate because of this. 1/n
The law is slow.
Clients are impatient. Judges are unpredictable.
But your discipline, your preparation, your hunger, that’s the constant you control.
Never let it weaken.
There should be a maxim for this:
"The judge will insist for hearing arguments only on the day you are least prepared or available, but on every other date when you are prepared, the case will be adjourned."
Time to do some self-patting !
We broke this story first- yes faster than @LiveLawIndia !
We can proudly claim that we are now comrehensively reporting many Supreme Court judgments faster than any mainstream legal news portals !
Of course, we [as humans] cannot beat our AI brother @Lawlens_IN though.
Today is one of those days of summer vacation when I was waiting for my matter and thinking that opposite counsel will not appear at 3:45 pm and the matter would be passed over, suddenly I saw my opposite counsel and the matter was argued, court granted relief to my client. 😌😌
