At what point do we say enough is enough??
The life of a young Doctor was cut short and everyone is quiet about it?? So you know, it can be anybody.
You and I aren’t exempted and if nothing is done, it will set a very dangerous precedent.
I’m honestly shocked.
Because if this patient throws an embolus and is rushed to a facility without oxygen, ICU support, or even access to proper imaging, Doctors will be blamed for “negligence.”
Meanwhile, she has already been exposed to significant risk outside the hospital.
Let’s be clear about what the risks here
– Sepsis
– Embolism
– Transmission of infection
– Thrombophlebitis / thrombosis
– Severe blood loss (yes, even that)
And by the time she presents,
the situation is no longer straightforward.
It is already complicated.
But when things go wrong,
we reduce everything to one sentence:
“Doctors were negligent.”
No. The patient was first seen by a quack.
Not every bad outcome starts in the hospital, but that’s where the blame goes.
I try my best to not complain about this country but it’s difficult. The bank app is supposed to sort basic stuff out and it’s failing at it, I come to the bank and you’re telling me there’s no network. Exercise patience or come back tomorrow like I don’t have things doing 🤦🏽♀️
Dear Doctors
On X, you talk about your patient's experience, on X, you insult your association and leaders, you put out tweets questioning the training of your own female colleagues. Every time you do these cho cho cho, you smear your own self. Just look at other professionals!
