@George_Monnat@mjarbo Not quite. Amazon is still going to make a Stargate project on their own terms. That's the issue. They got rid of the people who would keep it true to the franchise, lore, and fans. Amazon got rid of these show runners because they wouldn't compromise.
@jsnino2003@EverySGAFrame You're not getting the point. Amazon is still going to do their own thing with Stargate and ruin it. We want the original deal back with the original show runners that Amazon scrapped. We don't want Amazon's vision. We are pushing for the vision that Amazon scrapped.
@George_Monnat@mjarbo No. The original show runners and writers were leading it and keeping it true to the past series. That's the whole reason Amazon canned it. Because Amazon wanted to ruin it like many other revivals and remakes. The show runners stuck to keeping it true to the franchise.
Amazon axing the new STARGATE series because it was supposedly too niche is such a frustrating executive decision.
This is STARGATE.
The original movie launched in 1994. STARGATE SG-1 ran for 10 seasons. STARGATE ATLANTIS ran for five more. Fans have kept this franchise alive for decades.
Martin Gero, who wrote on SG-1 and ATLANTIS, was developing the new series. Brad Wright and Joe Mallozzi were consulting producers.
People who understood the franchise were involved.
And Amazon apparently got nervous that the show would appeal too much to STARGATE fans.
That is insane.
Die-hard fans are not the problem. They are the bridge.
They tell friends to watch. They explain the premise. They build word of mouth before casual audiences ever show up.
Studios keep wanting legacy IP without the people who actually love it.
But that “baggage” is the audience.
STARGATE does not need to be sanded down for everyone.
It needs to be good enough that fans bring everyone else in.
@Scsigs_YT@discotekmedia Do you always resort to insults and rudeness?
The Digimon English theme was created for the anime series long before the Digi rap, which was created specifically for the movie. Lyrics in the rap itself even say it's for the movie.
There is no rap in the series' theme.

Digimon creatives are desperate for Toei Animation to let them put out mature stories and animation but Toei keeps stifling them. They keep getting forced to walk this line of kid friendly when kids aren't even watching it anymore.
Sadly, it's true. Amazon has elected not to move forward with the new Stargate series.
There's not much I can add beyond confirming what's happened. But I will say this...
Creator Martin Gero developed a new Stargate series over two years, ultimately crafting a show that offered a fresh jumping-on point for new viewers while deeply respecting existing canon. It was a series that avoided the pitfalls of several modern remakes and reboots by fully embracing the core of its predecessors: action, adventure, exploration, wonder, heart, humor, and found family. And based on that creative vision, the new Stargate series was greenlit in November of 2025.
As of today, officially, that original vision is no more. We'll never get the opportunity to introduce you to that world and those characters - or reintroduce you to, and check in with, some familiar faces from the past.
My heart breaks. For the incredibly talented writers who worked tirelessly to bring this show to life. For Martin who maintained an unwavering positive outlook throughout despite the challenges, and who always strove to make a show that would honor the fans while welcoming a new audiences. And for the long-suffering Stargate fandom who waited so long and came so close to getting a show they truly would have loved.
