104 year old Robert Grier, one of Winston-Salem’s first Black firefighters, celebrated his birthday with a surprise parade of firetrucks outside his home, honoring his 30 years of service…
Please honor and remember Pfc. Lawrence Brooks, who passed away at 112 years old. 🕊️
He was our oldest surviving WWII U.S. Army Veteran in the country.

Boosie Badazz opened the gates of his private Boosie Estates compound in Palmetto Georgia on August 15 to host a massive back to school mentoring event called Save Our Sons. Hundreds of teenagers young men and their families gathered on the grounds for an afternoon focused on empowerment accountability and keeping young men off the streets.
Boosie born Torrence Hatch Jr. took center stage and drew directly from his own journey through the legal system and the music industry. He delivered an unfiltered message about discipline focus and the pursuit of legitimate long term goals. The crowd heard heavy hitting truths about survival ambition and the consequences of street life from someone who has lived it.
The event was held in partnership with Next Level Boys Academy an organization known for targeted diversion and character development programs. Mentors from the academy ran breakout sessions covering conflict resolution and academic accountability as the new school year begins.
For the young men in attendance the day offered more than a glimpse of a celebrity estate. It offered a blueprint and a safe space to talk about their challenges.
