अजा एकादशी भगवान विष्णु की आराधना और सात्त्विक संकल्प का पावन व्रत है। भाद्रपद कृष्ण पक्ष की यह एकादशी मन, वाणी और आचरण को शांत रखने की प्रेरणा देती है।

इस दिन प्रातः स्नान के बाद भगवान विष्णु का स्मरण करें। श्रीहरि को पीले पुष्प, फल, नैवेद्य और तुलसी दल अर्पित करें। “ॐ नमो भगवते वासुदेवाय” मंत्र का श्रद्धापूर्वक जाप करें और एकादशी व्रत कथा का पाठ या श्रवण करें।

अजा एकादशी का महत्व सबसे पहले श्रीकृष्ण ने अर्जुन को बताया था, इस संबंध में श्रीकृष्ण अर्जुन से कहते हैं कि जो मनुष्य कृष्ण पक्ष की एकादशी को व्रत रखकर भगवान विष्णु सहित लक्ष्मी की पूजा करता है उसके समस्त पाप कट जाते हैं, साथ ही उसे मनवांछित फल की प्राप्ति होती है।

व्रत में अपनी क्षमता के अनुसार फलाहार, दूध, मखाना, साबूदाना या सात्त्विक आहार लिया जा सकता है। पारण 8 सितंबर को द्वादशी तिथि में स्थानीय पंचांग के अनुसार करें।

Discussed how AI will drive economic growth by combining human potential with machine intelligence. I emphasized that AI must remain anchored in ethics, core values, and strict human oversight. Technology must be proactively guided by humanity to ensure it serves the collective well-being of all people.

I also spoke about the rise of a new India, which is stronger at home, confident abroad and prepared to contribute in shaping the new future of humanity. Under the visionary leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, India is building its own place in the world and preparing to lead it. This is India’s moment. This is India’s century. I can confidently say that this is the rise of a civilisational power, which is confident, compassionate, innovative and unstoppable.

श्री कृष्ण जन्माष्टमी भगवान श्रीकृष्ण के जन्मोत्सव का पावन पर्व है। भाद्रपद कृष्ण अष्टमी की मध्यरात्रि में भक्त लड्डू गोपाल का अभिषेक, श्रृंगार, झूला और आरती प्रेमपूर्वक करते हैं।

इस पर्व पर विशेष रूप से सूर्य, सोम, यम, काल, संधि, दिक्‌पति, भूमि, भूत, पवन, अमर, ब्रह्मादि, आकाश, खेचर, को नमस्कार करते हुए भगवान श्री कृष्ण की पूजा करनी चाहिये।

इस दिन प्रातः स्नान के बाद व्रत और पूजा का संकल्प लें। पूजा स्थान को स्वच्छ करें। लड्डू गोपाल को गंगाजल या स्वच्छ जल से स्नान कराएं, पंचामृत अभिषेक करें, फिर सुंदर वस्त्र, मुकुट, बांसुरी और फूलों से श्रृंगार करें। माखन-मिश्री, फल, धनिया पंजीरी या सात्त्विक नैवेद्य अर्पित करें।

कृष्ण जन्माष्टमी के दिन बाल गोपाल के जन्म के बाद उन्हें झूला झूलाया जाता है और माखन मिसरी का भोग लगाया जाता है।

मध्यरात्रि में “ॐ नमो भगवते वासुदेवाय” मंत्र, कृष्ण नाम-स्मरण और आरती करें। जन्माष्टमी हमें प्रेम, धर्म, करुणा, मधुर वाणी और शुभ कर्मों से जीवन को कृष्णमय बनाने की प्रेरणा देती है।

The Lieutenant Governor, Shri Manoj Sinha felicitated officers of Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board, Civil Administration, Army, CAPFs, J&K Police, BRO, medical professionals, service providers, and other stakeholders for successful conduct of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026. He said pilgrimage is a celebration of the collective resolve that transformed hardships into duty, challenges into opportunities, and service into a form of spiritual practice.

Addressing the gathering, the Lieutenant Governor expressed gratitude to the officers, security personnel, sanitation workers, pony operators, pithu bearers, palanquin carriers, langar volunteers and medical staff who ensured a smooth, secure and dignified Yatra despite difficult terrain and adverse weather. He said the achievement was not the success of any single institution or department but of “Team Jammu Kashmir” as a whole.

The Lieutenant Governor said the sacred yatra reflects India's Sanatan tradition and its ethos of humanity, coexistence and collective service. He noted that pilgrims from across the country returned home carrying not just a religious experience, but also the message of the region's culture and hospitality.
The Lieutenant Governor thanked civil society groups, political parties and religious leaders who provided all the support to the yatra, and reaffirmed that the discipline, energy and coordination shown during the pilgrimage should now become an enduring part of Jammu Kashmir's development ethos going forward.

It is pertinent to mention that the holy yatra was conducted over 57 days, from 3 July to 28 August 2026. Adverse weather posed serious challenges for more than 10 days and approximately 4.80 lakh devotees had darshan of Baba Barfani. 82% of pilgrims completed darshan within the first 20 days; 95% within the first month. 54,000 service providers were registered, including 31,000 pony operators, pithu bearers and palanquin carriers; 6,400 tent and shop operators; and 7,700 langar volunteers. Around 1.87 lakh pilgrims availed palanquin and pony services and 93 medical facilities were set up along the route, with 595 clinical beds and 26 oxygen booths. A total 1,430 doctors and nursing personnel were on round-the-clock duty, supported by 48 ambulances. 7,900 toilets were installed and maintained by 7,900 sanitation workers as part of a zero-waste Yatra initiative. Holding capacity was raised to 63,000 within the Yatra area and 54,000 across Jammu and Kashmir divisions.

“I am confident that every citizen of Jammu Kashmir fulfilled their moral responsibility towards this yatra, directly or indirectly, and elevated the rich cultural tradition of UT before the entire country.
The sacred yatra of Baba Barfani has placed a clear inspiration before all stakeholders and the public that work is accomplished not by wishes alone, but by sustained effort. Through your own efforts, you have demonstrated that when resolve is collective, leadership is clear, arrangements are robust, and the spirit of service is paramount, no goal remains impossible,” the Lieutenant Governor said.

After successful conclusion of the sacred Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026, felicitated officers of SASB, Administration, J&K Police, Army, CAPFs, BRO, medical professionals and service providers, who made it possible. Nearly 4.8 lakh pilgrims had darshan of Baba Barfani over 57 days. This success belongs to Team Jammu and Kashmir, who turned duty into devotion. Their spirit of seva reflects the true soul of Jammu Kashmir. My heartfelt gratitude to all.

Today addressed the Foundation Day Celebration of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board & Annual Day of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Gurukul. Emphasized the balance of values and science in education. Curiosity is the first lamp of knowledge and holistic education must build character, humility and compassion. I urged focus on sustainable development, climate consciousness, and ethical technology and proposed a Values & Science Innovation Centre, Service & Society Campaign and emphasis on Future Skills at the Gurukul.
