The Jarry trade is just looking worse everyday. Skinner was never as bad as Jarry. Jarry has double the cap hit and is for another 2 years. Oh and we gave up a 2nd and Kulak( who was traded for a 2nd+). Anyone that defends this trade even in the slightest is just dumb.

I hate him as much as anyone but Binnington actually played his best game in the Gold medal game. This D core couldn’t move the puck for shit and gave up turnover after turnover that led to great chances and he kept them all out.

Skinner wasn’t the problem. Did he have bad games? Yes. And he had some pretty bad mistakes that led to goals (puck handling is not his strong suit). But Jarry is no where near an upgrade on Skinner. The media over the past 3 years has picked Skinner and Bouch to be the reason for all of Edmontons problems. If only they would have picked Nurse instead.

It bothers me how Oilers fans speak on Stuart Skinner. I get he was inconsistent but he was the guy in the net while you were 1 game away from the cup and then was in the net when you were 2 wins away from the cup.

Plus he allowed 2 goals in game 7.
He did his job.
