@_msw_ IMHO often enough in cases where companies have a problem with FOSS it's the companies having trouble to pull of their pratices which go against the user.
GPL-3.0 might be an exception thou. The FSF doesn't do much to help adoption of FOSS in companies.

@BobSummerwill @_msw_ @adamhjk I think it depends, they carry risk of having less control what happens to the licensed property. Linux as a kernel would have lost already if each company would have silently forked of their own version. GPL forces each entity to cooperate somehow at least.
