I don't initiate conversations about politics in my neighborhood, and definitely not with business owners, whom I usually assume are mostly right wing.

But the guy who runs my local vegetable stand is in a mood, and was BEEFING about Ron DeSantis ruining his business.

He's complaining about DeSantis' immigration law, which has made it difficult to get watermelon and other fruits that come out of Florida, because now there's nobody to pick it.

He described how the workers come up here from Florida in certain seasons, and then over to Michigan and elsewhere, and how disruptive DeSantis' law is to the fruits and veggies business in America.

Are you noticing any shortages of certain fruits and vegetables where you live? Do you think DeSantis is ruining Florida?
