So my subtle lesson is this:

Growth seasons don’t excuse absence.

Purpose still requires responsibility.

I have chosen to start feeding a people, and even in busy and demanding seasons, I must find a way to show up.

After church this evening, someone asked me,

“I haven’t been seeing your short stories and videos lately. What happened?”

I explained that I’ve been in culinary school and that it’s taken a lot from me.

Their response made me pause.

There are people who are meant to hear what I say, people whose hearts are encouraged or lifted through my words and writings.

And I realized that on the days I don’t show up, someone out there might be missing what they were meant to receive.
