Whilst acknowledging known limitations of protests, what I don't understand are those that objected due to 'ikhtilat' but are still not willing to join a male-only coach with other Ulama in a segregated marching bloc that was made entirely for them.

The sweat on your forehead whilst striving for Dhuhr Salah, is more valuable than the tears from your eyes during Tarawih Prayer. Don't decieve yourself by missing obligatory prayers during the day. One Fardh Salah is better than ALL the Qiyam of Ramadhan (Shaykh Shanqiti).

Wife of Br Ibrahim Saeed, one of DU Bury's founders and close accomplice of Hazrat Ml. Yusuf Motala RA, has passed away ILWIR. I recall her saying how she would have to ask neighbours for food to feed guests in the early days. Us students are indebted to such quiet sacrifices 🤲.
