Dear Young People, Please Read to the End.

This morning, let me speak directly to my colleagues and fellow young people in both the NDC and NPP.

The truth is simple: there is no formula in politics.

As internal party elections peak and the contest becomes more intense, everyone has the right to support a candidate of their choice. Support your candidate passionately. Campaign for them. Make the case for them. But never allow competition to rob you of your decency.

Do not create enemies you do not need.

Do not insult people.
Do not attack their families.
Do not destroy their character.
Do not turn political differences into personal hatred.

You can disagree without being disagreeable. You can campaign hard without being abusive. You can defend your candidate without demonising someone else’s candidate.

I speak from a lived experience.

I have seen how politics can change. The person you are insulting today may sit across the table from you tomorrow. The opponent you are trying to destroy today may become your colleague, your leader, your ally, or even the person you desperately need to help you navigate a difficult moment.

Remember, politics has a long memory.

Sometimes, the very candidates competing against each other today will converge after the elections, reconcile and work together.

And you?

You may be the only stranger in Jerusalem.

Never burn a bridge simply because you are walking a different path today.

Young people must lead the way in changing the culture of political engagement. Let our politics be about ideas, competence, vision, service and character, not insults, personal attacks and character assassination.

Fight for your candidate, but do not lose yourself in the fight.

Support your people. Defend your convictions. Contest fiercely.

But when the elections are over, let us still be able to shake hands, sit together and build Ghana.

Politics is temporary. Character stays with you.

The Ministry’s strategy to prevent future maintenance liability is to strengthen sustainable and equitable road maintenance financing through the full operationalization of the Road Maintenance Trust Fund established under Act, 2025 (Act 1147). Working with the Ministry of Finance, it will improve the flow and equitable allocation of Road User Charges, enhance transparency and accountability, and reintroduce electronic road and bridge tolling to broaden the Road Fund’s revenue base. In addition, all completed Big Push road and bridge projects will be placed under performance-based maintenance programmes, with dedicated funding from the Road Fund. These measures will shift the country from a “build–deteriorate–rehabilitate” cycle to a “build–maintain–preserve” approach. @WorldBankGroup

The truth is, the accused will not only suffer externally but will be crushed within, several psychological distortions, changing their personalities forever when later come out innocent.

Work on the North Shore Apparel Limited project has been completed, with President John Dramani Mahama expected to commission the facility, which is aimed at creating employment opportunities for young people in the Northern Region.
