🇬🇧 THEY TOLD YOU A STORY. 🇬🇧
Colonisers. Slavers. Oppressors. And you were supposed to feel ashamed.
Not for what you done... But for WHO YOU ARE. 🇬🇧
So we tested it. Britain wrote everything down, so we opened the books. 📖
Turns out fewer than 1 man in 10 could vote in the year Britain banned the slave trade. No woman could. Your ancestors could hang for stealing a sheep, get shipped across the world for petty theft, or go down a mine at 8 years old. In Manchester, the average age of death in a labouring family was 17.
They weren't running the slave trade. They were underneath it too.
Which is what makes what happened next worth knowing.
In 1772 an enslaved man named James Somerset walked free from an English court, because English law couldn't hold a slave.
In 1791, 300,000 families just stopped buying slave sugar. No march, no riot, just a decision made at 300,000 kitchen tables.
In 1792, 519 petitions carrying 390,000 names hit Parliament, most signed by people who couldn't vote themselves.
In 1807, Britain banned the trade.
Then the slave owners sent Britain a bill for the 800,000 people they still held. 💷 £20 million. About 40% of the entire government budget at the time.
The Treasury says it wasn't paid off until 2015. So if your family paid British tax before then, they helped buy 800,000 people their freedom.
From 1808 the Royal Navy spent 60 years hunting slave ships at sea: 1,600 stopped, 150,000 people freed, and 1,600 British sailors dead, mostly of disease, buried thousands of miles from home. ⚓
In 1816 they ended two centuries of Barbary corsairs enslaving Europeans.
In 1896 a war that lasted 38 minutes ended slavery in Zanzibar. 🇹🇿
Almost every country on Earth outlaws slavery today.
That fight was paid for largely at British expense, by British hands.🇬🇧
So why haven't you heard any of this?
Because within living memory, someone rewrote the story. You got taught the crime. Not the cure.
The powerful exploited the world. They exploited their own people first. It was those people who ended slavery. 🇬🇧
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
History got rewritten once, in living memory, by no one who was ever named or held to account.
We are ordinary people doing what ordinary people have always done. Opening the books. Refusing to look away.
This is how we fight back. Fact by fact. Story by story. Name by name.
We are the home of British heroes. There is a place for you in it.

Douglas Murray on how Keir Starmer will be remembered
"If he's remembered at all it will be for him deciding that instead of dealing with bad things in the country, he would instead arrest the people who didn't like the bad things that were happening in the country"
A leaked internal home office report from 2002 shows the UK Government had planned to change what "British-ness" meant through mass immigration
It was always the goal to erase our identity and replace us
My dear Michael,
There you were. Perched upon your little GB News stool, eyes gleaming with that particular brand of performative earnestness you have perfected over decades of public betrayal. The topic was Britishness. A subject you apparently believe you own, like a trademark.
You looked at Michelle Dewberry, a woman asking straightforward questions about identity and belonging, and you responded with the smooth condescension of a vicar explaining communion to a confused toddler. "One of the glories about the United Kingdom," you began. As if you were about to recite poetry. As if you had not spent your entire career trading in the very anxieties you now find so distasteful.
The exchange turned to demographics. To the perfectly reasonable concern that native Britons might find themselves strangers in their own country. And what did you do? You reached for the England football team. You reached for Rishi Sunak's parents. You reached for every cheap, lazy deflection in the progressive playbook. When she dared mention the word "white," you pounced. "Once you start talking about black and white as what defines British, that is problematic."
Problematic. There it is. The vocabulary of the campus activist, emerging from the mouth of a man who once posed as a conservative. You spent nine minutes explaining why someone from Mogadishu who arrived last Tuesday is just as British as someone whose family farmed Yorkshire soil for twelve generations. You called it integration. The rest of us recognize it as obliteration.
You were not debating. You were lecturing. Deploying that soft, reasonable tone that masks the steel of absolute ideological certainty. The same tone you used when you were betraying your own party on Brexit. The same tone you used when you were cheerleading for lockdowns. The same tone you used when the High Court found you broke the law handing £560,000 to your friends at Public First. The same tone you used when you referred Michelle Mone's company for £203 million in PPE contracts. The same tone you used when you ran that Orwellian "Clearing House" to block journalists' freedom of information requests. The same tone you used when you admitted to snorting cocaine while writing columns condemning middle class drug use.
And the pièce de résistance. When she refused to accept your civics lesson, you accused her of making it about skin color. The oldest trick. The cheapest shot. You have learned your lines well from your former friends on the left.
You are not a conservative, Michael. You are a shape shifter. A man who believes in nothing except the next appointment. A man who spent £600,000 of taxpayer money defending his own unlawful conduct. A man who now sits in the House of Lords for life as Baron Gove of Torry, editing The Spectator, having seamlessly transitioned from ministerial office to media gatekeeper. And on this occasion, you were particularly vile because you did it all with that smug little smile. That knowing look that says "I am the cleverest boy in the room."
You are not. You are merely the most flexible.
You have broken the law, trafficked millions to your friends, and snorted your way to a lifetime peerage, yet here you are editing The Spectator with that same insufferable smirk, proving that in modern Britain there is no failure so complete that it cannot be rebranded as success.
YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE WRITING IN THE SPECTATOR. YOU NEED TO BE WRITING APOLOGY LETTERS FROM JAIL.
Adam Brooks is an absolute fucking legend.
He literally just said what we were all thinking.
What a lefty twat. 👏👏👏
Well done mate, I’m raising a glass to you.
These lefties are apologists for the Pakistani Rape Gangs!
Remember Johnny Ball, he made kids programs back in the 80s & 90s about science & the environment..... UNTIL he called out the climate bollox & claimed that schools were brainwashing kids with rubbish. He then got cancelled for some reason. Here's an old clip where he talks about CO2

X - I need your urgent help.
My new film 5 SOLDIERS is due to screen at Hereford Military Festival at The Courtyard on Sunday 27 September.
It has been on sale since 7 May.
I have just been told it has sold ZERO tickets.
Zero.
This is a film about soldiers’ bodies, training, injury, courage, fear, comradeship, trauma, recovery and service. It was made after years of working with soldiers, veterans and military families. It is not party political. It is humane, serious and, I believe, necessary.
If we cannot sell tickets, the screening may not go ahead.
So I am asking directly: please help me save this screening.
Buy a ticket. Bring someone. Share this. Tag anyone in Hereford, the Armed Forces, veterans’ networks, military history circles, dance, film, culture or anyone who believes that art about soldiers still matters.
Zero tickets is not normal.
Let’s change that.
Hereford, Sunday 27 September, 2.30pm.

The British people are about to be screwed.
Labour is now openly working with international organisations like the European Convention on Human Rights, the United Nations Refugee Agency, & global multinationals, universities, & self-anointed 'community groups' to flood Britain with yet more migrants and refugees while forcing the British people to pay for it.
This is all in the detail of the latest plans.
What you see is not an attempt to 'empower' the British people. Quite the opposite. It is to transfer power AWAY from the people to distant, unaccountable organisations that exist beyond the realm of our national democracy and to then use these to dramatically increase the number of refugees, asylum-seekers & immigrants coming into Britain.
Even worse, Labour is now doing this despite having failed to stop the boats, fix the borders, and restore any sense of public confidence and trust in the system.
They are now also rapidly backtracking on other plans to tighten up indefinite leave to remain, happily handing the British people a bill of some £600 billion that will be left by giving millions of low-wage Boriswave migrants the right to stay in Britain forever, despite the British people voting for the very opposite of this, in 2019.
Labour say we need more safe and legal routes to help stop illegal migration but this is bonkers. We gave 5 million people legal routes into Britain during the Boriswave and yet another 200,000 illegals still came into the country. Wake up, folks.
The end result, I fear, will be total chaos, accelerating demographic change, instability, and the further erosion of public trust in politics and even democracy itself.
Nobody voted for this. Nobody asked for this. And only a very few fanatics in Labour & the Greens want this.
The only good news is that by veering sharply to the left on immigration and asylum, and by completely giving up on any claim to represent the British people, there will now be enormous space in British politics for a party to connect with the decent majority of hardworking Brits who have had enough of the constant gaslighting and lying in Westminster, and had enough of being treated like second-class citizens in their own country.
And Reform UK will fill this space.
We will speak up for the broad coalition of decent Brits who can now sense and see that they are being completely screwed over, and who know there is nothing "fair" about constantly putting the rest of the world ahead of your own taxpaying citizens.
A citizenship that belongs to everybody belongs to no one.
If anybody can become British, or English, then Britishness & Englishness no longer exist.
If the only thing that defines a people is that they welcome others then they no longer exist, either.
‘New migrant flows prompted by Mahmood will be additional to – rather than instead of – existing illegal entries. Further, the evidence on the ongoing social and economic costs of accommodating large asylum populations is overwhelming’
@SDPhq statement⬇️ https://t.co/wJvdhovs0T
'There is a significant concern of demographic change, cultural change, religious change, you name it.'
@MichelleDewbs says many Britons don't like the direction of travel the UK is going in and that it is 'opposite to what they have democratically voted for time and again'.
Has Shabana Mahmood lost her mind?
This week, she is set to announce a ‘Homes for Ukraine’-style migrant scheme for conflicts all around the world.
For context, that scheme took in over 200,000 Ukrainians.
This must not stand.
What nations do Labour have in mind?
Sudan. You know who is Sudanese? Deng Majek, the illegal migrant who murdered Rhiannon Whyte - stabbing her 23 times with a screwdriver.
And Mohamed Harun, a refugee who raped a woman and told the judge sentencing him “fuck England”. In fact, over a third of Sudanese criminals in prison here have committed sex offences.
Mahmood also wants to prioritise Eritrea.
We’ve had rapists and attempted murderers from Eritrea these past few years. Eritreans here are more than 20 times more likely to account for sexual offence convictions than British citizens.
No doubt Labour will open the floodgates to thousands of Palestinians too.
Labour say they’ll cap the number of people in the scheme at the tens of thousands. But, over time, they’ll all bring in their extended families. The ‘chain migration’ will be catastrophic.
It's all modelled on a Canadian scheme that's let 400,000 migrants in, and nearly 100,000 in the last five years alone. In fact, the Canadian Government have paused their scheme because it’s so unpopular.
Labour have no mandate whatsoever for this. If Burnham wants one, he must call a general election.
The British people have made it abundantly clear: we don’t want anymore migration like this.
When it comes to so-called ‘asylum seekers’ from nations very different to our own, we are long past full.
A Reform government will reverse this ridiculous scheme.
Or, better yet, the whole thing should be cancelled now.
Why are there so many Pakistanis in Britain? Why do so many come from the same tiny region in Kashmir? And why are there about to be a lot more?
In this video, I trace the roots of Britain's Pakistani population back to a 1960s dam project in Pakistan and a postwar labour shortage in the UK.
What began as economic migration soon became chain migration, creating tight-knit (to the point of cousin-banging) communities in places like Bradford and Birmingham, many of which retained the tribal, patriarchal values of their homeland.
These imported values - clan loyalty, honour-based social codes, and disdain for outsiders - played a key role in the the grooming gang scandals that have devastated working-class British towns.
I also look at the latest political madness: a campaign by Labour MPs to build an airport in Mirpur to make it even easier for these men to come to Britain. That’s right: while British cities collapse under rubbish, rats, and failing services, MPs are lobbying for infrastructure in Pakistan to continue the cycle of chain immigration that’s helped create parallel societies in Britain.
This isn’t just about demographics or development - it’s about culture, values, and the deliberate erosion of Western civilisation. The left isn’t blind to the consequences of importing tribal, misogynistic honour cultures into liberal democracies. They welcome it.
Why? Because they hate the West: its meritocracy, its freedoms, its traditions. They want to replace it with communism. Anything that weakens the social fabric or destabilises British identity is a step toward their utopian fantasy of a post-national, post-capitalist world. That’s why they champion mass migration, tolerate grooming gangs, and even flirt with blasphemy laws - because in their warped worldview, the enemy is Britain itself.
@GoodwinMJ Yep. Millions must be deported. Both illegal and legal immigrants. Revoke visas etc. Have we got the manpower to do it though? Massive recruitment of pro British law enforcement will be required.
Strategically, the foie gras climbdown is a disaster because it hands Starmer’s critics a concrete case study of EU leverage over UK domestic policy.
Negotiations over a sanitary and phytosanitary agreement were sold as technocratic tweaks to “reduce checks”; yet the EU has already used them to force a reversal on a core Labour manifesto commitment, by insisting the UK cannot “pick and choose” which parts of its food rulebook to adopt.
The message to Brussels is that hardball works: threaten to block the deal unless Britain drops a democratically endorsed ban on a cruel product, and this government will quietly fold – not just once, but as a template for every future contentious file.
The message to UK voters is worse: what you vote for on standards, ethics and welfare is now subordinate to a foreign regulatory regime that regards your concerns about cruelty as an irritant – and regards your Prime Minister as someone who will abandon them for a smoother press release about “resetting relations with the EU.”
🚨Reform’s response to Labour’s new ‘refugee resettlement program’:
It’s widely reported Labour plans to import more than 10,000 asylum seekers to the UK, from countries like Sudan and Eritrea - the very nationalities filling the illegal boats in the Channel.
Labour has no mandate for this.
It was not in their manifesto.
The British people voted repeatedly for less immigration, yet keep being subjected to more.
Enough is enough.
We are putting Burnham on notice:
Reform will reverse this scheme.
If he really believes the British people want it, he should put it in his manifesto and call a general election.
If he fails to do so, when voters do get their say, if they choose a Reform government this illegitimate scheme will be reversed.
Nobody Burnham imports through this illegitimate scheme will be allowed to stay in Britain.
We cannot go on like this.
Andy Burnham must do the right thing and call a general election.
