As for Pain, and the Pain fans that messaged me. I'm not going to reply to each of you, but I am going to make 3 points:
1) How sad is it that in order to feel better about yourself you need to see another Brazilian team criticised? Are your expectations for Pain really so low that the standard that you expect your team to be held to is that of a team that promoted 3 ppl from their academy 2 months ago? Because from the outside that's kind of low ambition for an org with the history of Pain.
2) RED are in a great spot right now, because they took a step back, analyzed what was wrong, and made changes using tools at their disposal. Same with Furia. Same with Keyd. Sure RED lost, and Furia didn't even make cross-conference. But they have good foundation to build on in the coming off seasons.
I look at Pain, and I see people who were calling Cariok the undisputed best player in the league 2 months, saying he's not fit to play for Pain again (in reality he's been fine this split, there have been much bigger problems that makes it impossible for a jungle to play). Do you really believe Pain know what their issues are and thus how to fix them in the off season? Because I'm not sure even 2% of the fans who message me abuse have a clue. They just want to hate, and need a convenient target. Whether it's Cariok, Xero, or whoever the next villain of the week is. It will literally never change. There is no long term planning, so there will never be a fix. When you understand that, then you can understand why the team is in the position it is today. Maybe the team will make some roster changes, maybe some of them will work out. But there won't be a long term solution that will fix things on a fundamental level. I'm not sure anyone is even looking for a long term fix (or Pain would have an academy team instead of just looking for the next Korean to import)
3) Finally, understand that I have no hatred against Pain the org. People are talking about how great it is that VKS stepped in to get RED scrims this tournament at last minute. Well in 2016 that was Pain stepping in for INTZ when they were on their holiday break so we got scrims before worlds. I never forgot that, even a decade later.
A good Pain gaming is a good thing for Brazilian League of Legends (because they invest a ton of money, have a large fanbase and have some of the best players in the region on their team). Even if you are the most dedicated Loud fan and you hate Pain's guts, it's much more satisfying to beat a good Pain than a shit one.
However, I want to be really clear that I have beliefs in how a successful org should be run. They are not secret (invest in domestic talent, coaching staff matters, mix veterans + rookies, play to your limits in game and accept a high tolerance for risk). Pain don't do any of those things, so ofc I don't like the org with 3 Koreans on their Brazilian roster, 0 academy team and playing to scale every game despite having some of the best mechanical players in the league. I would hate RED or VKS if they did these things too. I'm not going to change my opinions on those things any time soon because those are my genuine beliefs about how to succeed in esports. So if a retired nobody making comments about these things on twitter really triggers you that much, maybe just use the mute or block button instead of getting so mad you feel the need to send me dms telling me how stupid I am?
Thank you for your attention.
@pcdv8r Glad for you words Peter, We need more people talking about what you talk, and less ppl Screaming around why we dont win in league internationally without a solution, we need a target, one objective and one Why.
Com a pausa da org que eu estava trabalhando, estou aberto a propostas como head, assist, strategic.
