[NEWS] #HOSHI has announced that he sustained a complete rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his knee during practice with the Ground Forces Performance Team.
He has been diagnosed with a complete ACL tear and will be undergoing surgery, followed by a period of recovery and rehabilitation. As a result HOSHI will be unable to participate in the upcoming Taekwondo Demonstration Team event and Ground Forces Festival, scheduled on October 1-5.
The anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is one of the four major ligaments in the knee joint. It connects your thigh bone to your shin bone. It helps maintain the knee's rotational stability and prevents the tibia from sliding forward relative to the femur.
ACL injuries commonly occur through non-contact mechanisms, such as sudden pivoting, awkward landings after a jump, or rapid deceleration. They can also result from direct contact or blows to the knee. Surgery is crucial for those wanting to return to these activities, as it minimizes the risk of reinjury and supports peak performance.
In HOSHI's case, a complete ACL rupture means the ligament has been fully torn, which can significantly affect activities involving running, jumping, pivoting and sudden changes in direction.
Recovery generally takes 6-12 months, depending on the individual's injury, treatment, and progress. Following surgery, HOSHI is expected to undergo structured physical therapy to restore knee movement, strength and stability before gradually returning to physical activities.
Despite his absence, HOSHI asked CARATs to continue supporting and cheering for the Ground Forces Performance Team, where WOOZI is also a member. 🍚
We sincerely hope HOSI receives proper treatment and has a safe and complete recovery. His health and well-being come first.
Please continue sending love for HOSHI as he focuses on healing, and let's support WOOZI and the team in his place. 🐯🤍

So this is why Hoshi was in pain during the recent Taekwondo performances? He kept applying pain relief spray 😭😭😭 (this was around 3-4 days back, so he probably tore his acl later, but he was already experiencing some pain)
Hoshi has been working so hard all this time 😭
I hope the surgery goes well, and he gets enough rest later 🥺
Please take good care of yourself Hoshi, praying for your speedy recovery 😭🫂
