One thing I’ve learned in trading is decision-making.
You’re the one responsible and accountable for the choices you make; TP, SL, BE, holding through news events, closing before news, and so on.
Last time, the news went in my favour on Gold, but I had already closed, securing zero loss.
If I had held because of that for this trade, I would have been pained asf.
Remember when I used to try learning how to trade during NFP and CPI… mainly because of the flips people post after news event
Until I realized that entering trades during news(not holding an open position) is pure gambling.
Not for someone like me, I just stopped.
I remember this time last year when I got an email from a $25k prop firm account I was trading, they said I breached the account.
I honestly thought it was an April Fools' Day prank because I was literally in profit on #Nasdaq and EJ at that moment.
Not until I reached out to their support and found out I had violated a rule I didn’t even know about.
Omo… water nearly comot from my eyes that day 😅
I think the moment a trader realizes that trading is more about probability than certainty, everything starts to change.
No matter how good your TA is, nothing is ever guaranteed.
Once that sinks in, you stop trying to be right every time and start focusing more on managing your risk properly.
That shift is really what makes the difference.
