Agree. Being able to go vegan is a privilege and we should understand that. When people use animal products because they're forced to out of any necessity (income, living with family, etc.), the real enemies are society being carnivore-normative and companies exploiting animals.
Stop stalking me and start debating me, you fucking pussy. Yes or no? Oh, I already know the answer - you're literally an intellectual coward who shits himself at the mere thought of having to publicly defend your dreadful opinions. Bitch.
@NerdAboutTown @chelybells_ I feel like people get offended because they do realise their very real privilege but don't want to engage with it. They're ashamed but can't admit it. They should swallow their pride and work on the issues instead of getting offended.
New vegetarians / vegans: Note that other cultures may have a different view of what "vegetarian" means!
I went to buy some dumplings that were listed as "vegetarian" last night and it turns out they contained oyster sauce. Read the ingredients, don't be afraid to ask questions!
@MadMaxFlapper Sounds like a good experience in the end! Thanks for sharing. I guess I'm a bit worried about dates and eating at restaurants because of my limited food choices.
@heagle_04 I find Peep Show sooo hard to watch because of how much second-hand embarrassment the humour inspires, but I recognise that's the point. It's weird that men don't recognise that the cringey behaviour is the whole point of the show and replicating it Is Bad.
