Leadership isn’t easy. It can be a heavy burden and lonely. Hard conversations, constant questioning/criticism, caring deeply, taking ownership.

But it is also life giving. It unlocks the potential of people. It moves us forward.

@jenfrytalks Anecdotally, I’ve found that these senior-level managers actually manage more ppl than the ADs in a day-to-day basis, and thus have a great impact on folks worklife. This level hasn’t been explored—neither in terms of leadership styles nor via the followers’ perspectives. 🤞🏽🤞🏽

@jenfrytalks In related news: I’m currently collecting data for my dissertation: Leadership Styles in D1 Athletic Administrstion & the Relationships to (Followers’) Job Satisfaction & Commitment. I’m surveying athletic admins whose direct reports are senior-level admins **other than the AD.

This is just unthinkable: SEVEN police officers were inside the school but did not confront the shooter per @CNN. They waited "about an hour" for a Border Patrol tactical team to arrive. A full hour. Seven armed officers to one 18 year-old. The good guys with the guns?
