Always check contract ownership and renounce status directly on-chain — never rely on screenshots or team words.
Some teams don’t fully renounce so they can update features, adjust taxes, or add new utilities later. That’s okay, but they must be clear about what control they still have and why.

Before trusting, look at the code — see if the deployer wallet still has roles like owner or proxyAdmin. That shows how much power they hold.
