The Class C girls' race had a huge lead pack at 900 meters. By 3000 meters, Scout Bell of Gothenburg, Jaelyn Witter of Kearney Catholic and Tayla Hurner of Wayne had separated from the pack. A sophomore, Bell registered her first State title in 19:16, 47 seconds faster than her 4th-place finish in 2024.

The freshman Hurner finishes 2nd in 19:30, her 2nd sub-20:00 result in two weeks. Witter earns 3rd place, adding to her 6th place finish in 2023.

Chase County, ranked 2nd leading into State, wins by 10 points over 3rd-ranked Adams Central. Addison Hauxwell led the Longhorns with a 4th-place finish, while other scorers were Alayna Smith (20th), Tessa Smith (24th) and Elizabeth Hannah (49th).

The top finishers were young, with only five seniors in the top 30. Three of the top five were freshman: Hurner, Hauxwell, and Macie Carter of Milford.
