Such an honour to join @tavlorna123@Rob_Ruddock, family, friends, survivors, @J_Rogan1@CarolynMerret & @MarkPawsey in Rugby for the New Cross Fire Exhibition.
It was moving to hear their love ones speak, and be reminded that this tragedy affected so many in the UK & abroad.
42 years ago, 13 young Black Londoners were killed in the #NewCrossFire. Today we remember them and all those whose lives were irrevocably changed by that day.
To honour their memory, we must all recommit to building a future where tragedies like these cannot happen again.

The New Cross Fire in London 40 years ago cost 13 people their lives, including 2 from Rugby. After 2 inconclusive inquests, I today called on the Prime Minister @BorisJohnson to support the calls of the survivors and the bereaved families for a new investigation.
I need opulence back in fashion. I need the utmost outrageous designs on the runway again. I’m tired of seeing baggy suits and bodysuits every season. I want fashion to go back to the era where regular people used to say “now who would wear something that stupid in real life!?”
