Just released a new mod: Elijah. Made @RealestPeas, @happyheadd, and I for @lambchop_is_ok 's 2023 Year of the Gaper Mod Jam. Go play it.

@u1timategamer86@OrangeJellyo I wouldn't count on it unfortunately. The tournament has finally begun and Widow is in her base design in the cinematics. Same with Daredevil
These story-based skins aren't dropped randomly, and the stories are always progressing even if they aren't the season focus
Learning that rising voltage is based on whether the TARGET is in electric terrain was like a gunshot to the back of the head
Killing myself with Volt Tackle is back on the menu I need Zard Y DEAD
In reality this is a really interesting linguistic quirk that only really flows when the country ends with -an or -ese
An Italian/Mexican/Chinese: completely standard
A Moroccan/Portuguese/Norwegian: niche, but reads fine
A Swedish/French/Bangladeshi: absolutely not
@IDSewerStories@solimbrem I'm not sure it really matters if the design was changed from the inspiration. The fact that they consider this a Danny Rand design but gave it to a different person anyway shows that they are willing to do that
@MDDix0n@ChankoOwen@DesuVGC You don't run Kingambit focusing on speed, it's EVs are better spent on bulk, but it was still fairly normal for Hyper Offense Kingambit to have 31 Speed IVs and a neutral mature
A 0 IV Farig underspeeds that Kingambit, but in Champions the slowest possible Farig can't do it
@MDDix0n@ChankoOwen@DesuVGC That's my point, it's not being run because of its speed and it's run without speed investement
Because it's so slow, some pokemon that could previously underspeed 31 IV Kingambit by using 0 Speed IVs (like Farigiraf) can't do that anymore, and so Kingambit outspeeds under TR
@ChankoOwen@MDDix0n@DesuVGC Trick room is still totally viable, but having to run it at a higher speed tier just means there are fewer Pokémon you can guarantee you can outspeed.
Kingambit is on like half of teams rn and doesn't care for any speed investment for example
@MDDix0n@DesuVGC Skill expression in team design, not in putting it together ingame. It is absolutely a skill to be capable of telling when tech like this is viable, and integrating it properly
@MDDix0n@DesuVGC Beyond making Trick Room teams broadly worse it is admittedly not especially impactful in the current champions format.
But its just a really unnecessary change that reduces skill expression and will make a few previous staples less viable once they return, which is lame
@MDDix0n@DesuVGC Kartana isn't niche lmao. This was a very standard thing to do with a very common Pokémon in gens 7/8, the only reason you haven't seen it recently is because Ultra Beasts aren't in gen 9
@MDDix0n@DesuVGC Some ultra beasts were only really viable because they could manipulate their IVs to pick which stat Beast Boost raised.
Kartana and Stakataka will be shadows of their past selves without being able to do that
