Whew ok, so this has been a pain maybe because I was sick but after weeks of trial and error trying to force LiveKit's pre-built 'room' system into my custom frontend, I finally scrapped the SDK and went rogue.

Instead of fighting their architecture, I built a direct pipeline using raw WebSocket streams – imagine bypassing a crowded conference call to have a 1:1 hotline with the AI.
