#Cubs Jake Arrieta hurled a complete game shutout 10 years ago today on June 21, 2015, beginning what would be a 29-start stretch in which he had more no-hitters (2) than games lost (1).

The only loss?

A no-hitter by Cole Hamels.

His final numbers from that stretch: 29 GS | 24-1 | 0.99 ERA

Chicago was 27-2 during the stretch, and Arrieta had as many home runs hit as he allowed (4).

This stands as, in my opinion, the greatest stretch of baseball ever by a pitcher. The only way to beat him was to beat him at his own game.
