My thoughts today are with the family, friends and colleagues of Firefighter Devyn Gale.

Devyn was killed when she was struck by a falling tree while working in a remote area near the town of Revelstoke, British Columbia as wildfires continue to rage across the country.

Devyn was just 19 years of age, and was airlifted to hospital after the incident, but sadly did not make it.

Gone, but never forgotten!

Hundreds of people gathered in Edinburgh to pay their respects as the cortege made its way along the Royal Mile to St Giles’ Cathedral.
