People laughed when I made that Roberto Alvarado appreciation post.
A few days later, he’s got another good performance and another assist.
His second assist in three World Cup games.
Not bad for a player some people were so quick to dismiss.
The way he linked up with teammates, how comfortable he looked on the ball, the patience to wait for the right moment instead of forcing something, and the awareness to pick out the correct pass.
That’s something I really value in players.
Football social media is funny sometimes. People are ready to write players off after one game or laugh at anyone who rates them.
That’s why I prefer trusting what I see.
And so far, Alvarado has more than justified the praise.
You laughed at me.
But who’s laughing now?
Thank you, Roberto Alvarado.
Messi broke the World Cup goal scoring record and hasn’t made a single post about it while Ronaldo started screaming “I’m back” at the cameras after a brace against 57th ranked Uzbekistan.😂
