MY THOUGHTS ON MEETING TRUMP 🇺🇸
1. after being all over from anti-trump to neutral to whatever, it was nice to finally MEET him. we live in a world of headlines and misconceptions, and it was fun to put those to rest. his aura is refined and he commands the room. he is also, predictably, much more relaxed and fun in off-camera settings.
2. after working hospitality his whole life, he is extremely accommodating and gives time to EACH person in the room individually. it would have been easy for him to talk to ONLY logan off-camera, but he showed me equal love the whole time. his networking acumen and room-work is flawless. he also made sure we ate and his chefs made us coconut shrimp (9.1/10) after the show.
3. trump and his team are finally leaning into neutrality messaging for 2024 which a ton of moderates had prayed for. less fiery rhetoric. the trump campaign’s goal is to convince fence-sitters he is LIKABLE, while biden’s team has to prove that he is COHERENT. trump, simply put, has the easier goal.
4. in the time we spent with him off-camera, he was ALWAYS smiling and had a positive, upbeat vibe. he clearly understands that leading with a smile is a charm worth mastering. people like happy people.
say what you want about trump’s policies, that’s personal opinion and i respect yours. i simply am thankful for his time and the love he showed us.
our invite is still open for biden 🇺🇸
Shackle a presidential candidate in court throughout peak campaign season.
Stack the jury with people who hate him.
A gag order to censor what he could say.
Rig the trial rules & the jury instructions.
Set his sentencing to 4 days before the nomination.
3rd world banana republics do this.
World leaders express horror at the Trump verdict in Manhattan:
🇮🇹 Italian Deputy PM Matteo Salvini:
"Solidarity and support for Trump, victim of judicial harassment & a process of political nature. In Italy, we are sadly familiar with weaponization of justice by the left."
🇭🇺 Hungarian PM Viktor Orbán:
"Let THE PEOPLE make their verdict this November! Keep fighting Mr. President!"
🇬🇧 UK Brexit leader Nigel Farage:
"The verdict is a disgrace."
🇷🇺 Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov:
"There is simply the elimination, in effect, of political rivals by all possible means, legal & illegal."
Import the Third World, become the Third World. That’s what we just saw. This won’t stop Trump. He’ll win the election if he’s not killed first. But it does mark the end of the fairest justice system in the world. Anyone who defends this verdict is a danger to you and your family.
Indeed, great damage was done today to the public’s faith in the American legal system.
If a former President can be criminally convicted over such a trivial matter – motivated by politics, rather than justice – then anyone is at risk of a similar fate.
