Liverpool are targeting a player from Newcastle that’s worth an estimated £100m. They know Newcastle are struggling with PSR rules and that they will probably have to sell the player for less than his market value.

If Liverpool sign the player for the reported £68m they are £32m in front on their balance sheet overnight.

Liverpool will be strengthened by getting a fantastic player for less than his market value, while Newcastle in all probability will be out of the race for a Champions League spot.
